The Mavs are injured, with Williams and Harris looking to sit, which is exactly what the Heat are looking for. After a loss last night against the Rockets, the Heat will look to continue their great record over the Mavs, having won the last 8/9. The Mavs injuries are a worry, but they are at home, and with a day’s rest over the Heat, it should be close.

When a team has an undefeated home record for the season, 26-0, there is no reason to mess with that formula. The Big Fundamental is likely out, but so may be Evans for the Pelicans. Coach Gentry stated : “They’ve won every game at home, they’re due to lose one,” said Gentry, a former Popovich assistant. “Play that for Pop, have Pop put that on the bulletin board, OK?”

If Evans was in, maybe, but he’s doubtful, so we aren’t predicting a Pelicans miracle.

Utah are looking for their 4th straight win tonight, and their 4th straight over the Nuggets. This will be their 5th straight game at home, on what is a 6 game home stand. The Jazz should get the W, but the Nuggets have been impressive against some +.500 teams recently, and will keep it close.

Nikola Jokic looks set to be a beast.

Every time we tip the Bulls, we shudder silently, and a chill fills the room. The same happens when we don’t tip them, so what the hell?

Time and time again they have stated that discipline is their problem, and that they lost focus during games. Nice saying that and all, but how about playing some D while you’re doing so.
Cousins may sit for the Kings with a sprained ankle. With the Bulls the league leaders in rebounds with 48.1, that’s about the only reason we are tempted, again, with the Bulls…..shudder…

It took 2005 Kobe with 38 points to take down the Timberwolves at Staples last night, but let’s face it, they still just lost to the Lakers. Facing the Clippers is a whole other story.

Blake Griffin continues to sit after breaking his right hand following some post-dinner fisticuffs with the assistant equipment manager, and the league looks set to hand down it’s own punishment soon. Didn’t you learn anything from the movie Bull Durham? If you’re a righty, you punch with your left!
