DP’S NBA PLAYER PROP

SEASON RECORD: 58-34

Expert NBA Player Props Analyst, Daniel Parisi, gives his best daily prop.

HOUSTON VS OKLAHOMA CITY

If you backed EG on the overs last start, it would be in your best interest to double down in Game 3 against the Thunder.

At full health, Gordon is the X-Factor for the Houston Rockets with the creative license he receives from Harden & D’Antoni to shoot it at volume from outside of the arc, or use that penetrating first step to take it to the rim.

If you can, strike a line through his latest stat line from 23-feet, where he returned zero made from ten attempts. It’s just not going to happen again.

He is too fast and too big for the Thunder guards and is the very reason why the Rockets play with such flair because of the spacing they create by dragging out any lane clogging defenders.

If there is one teammate Harden is somewhat happy to share the offensive load with, it’s EG. His conditioning is first-class after sustaining an ankle injury and he will play himself into form.

DP’S PICK – ERIC GORDON OVER 18.5 POINTS

The Bucks cruised to a comfortable 111-96 win in Game 2, evening the series at 1-1 to level after a stunning Game 1 loss to the short-handed Magic.

After a below par Game 1 performance in, the Bucks defense that was rated as the league’s best during the regular season was on display early in Game 2. Orlando missed 25 of its first 28 shots, helping create an early Milwaukee lead that ballooned to 23 points.

Orlando’s Aaron Gordon (hamstring) has been involved in non-contact practices and is listed as questionable.

PICKS  –  UNDER 226.5 TOTAL POINTS

PLAYER PROP

Everything is going through Vucevic.

In Game 1 he had 35 points in their shock win, and still managed to finish with 32 points in their Game 2 loss.

He’s averaging 23.5 shot attempts over the first two games, and he will see another 20+ attempts here.

Centres against the Bucks in the bubble are scoring at 15% above the league average.

Don’t be surprised if the big man has another 30-point line here.

PICK – NIKOLA VUCEVIC OVER 21.5 POINTS

The teams will swap benches and wear different jerseys, but the Heat hope all else stays the same in Game 3.

The Heat have smothered the Pacers defensively, allowing just 100.5 ppg and eleven 3-pointers per contest. Those marks ranked 2nd and 4th-best among the 16 teams through two games of the postseason.

Miami has been especially focused on T.J. Warren, who tallied in 31.0 ppg during the bubble seeding. He shot 57.8% overall on 21.3 attempts per game over the eight-game span. In two playoff games, however, he has averaged just 18.0 ppg, limited to 48.5% overall on 16.5 attempts.

Miami hold the mental edge over the Pacers going 6-1 in the season including playoffs.

PICK  –  MIAMI -4.0

Houston lead 2-0 after a 111-98 win in Game 2 on Thursday. Harden led the Rockets with 21 points and dished out a team-high 9 assists.

Defensively the Rockets have limited the Thunder to 44.2% shooting by rotating aggressively. Westbrook will miss Game 3, but if the Rockets keep defending with the same intensity that they displayed over their first two series efforts, his absence will continue to be a non-factor.

PICK  –  HOUSTON -3.0

PLAYER PROP

The big guy has cleared the 10.5 line in both games in this playoff series as he should at 7-foot, PJ Tucker his opponent is 6’5…

The Rockets are fully invested in small ball and Adams is one of the better offensive rebounders in the league. He’ll get lots of attempts to clean the glass in this game on top of his defensive rebounds.

Centres against Houston in the bubble rebound at a huge 27% above the league average.

PICK – STEVEN ADAMS OVER 10.5 REBOUNDS

Portland’s chances of being giant-killers may depend on the left index finger of Damian Lillard.

Lillard dislocated the finger during Portland’s Game 2 loss but is scheduled to be on the floor for Game 3.

Lillard was injured while attempting a steal in the 3rd quarter of Thursday’s 111-88 loss, while attempting to steal the ball off a driving Anthony Davis. He immediately grabbed the finger and left the floor, not to return.

The Lakers limited Portland to 8-of-29 shooting from 3-point range and Lillard hit just 1 of 7 attempts. He made 6 of 13 in the opener.

Rajon Rondo (thumb) is questionable and could make his first appearance since the season resumed in late July.

Portland fooled us after their Game 1 effort.
