Philadelphia have made a pretty solid start to the 2026-27 season and will be looking to keep things rolling when they head to Indiana to take on the Pacers on Wednesday night. The 76ers absolutely owned this matchup last season, winning all four meetings, including both games on the road. Tyrese Maxey was a nightmare for Indiana, averaging a ridiculous 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists across three appearances.

The Pacers are coming off a 110-102 loss to Milwaukee, despite Tyrese Haliburton putting up 22 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Pascal Siakam also did his bit with 20 points, 13 boards and 6 assists, but it still wasn’t enough to get the job done. Indiana have been absolutely terrible on their home court lately, losing 15 of their last 16 games. That’s the sort of form that makes it pretty hard to trust them with your money.

Philadelphia aren’t coming in completely clean either, having suffered their first loss of the season against Detroit, going down 106-93. Maxey still managed 29 points and 3 steals, but the Sixers were missing Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecombe, who are both available for this one.

As for Indiana, Andrew Nembhard and Haliburton are questionable, while Ivica Zubac remains sidelined. With the Pacers struggling badly at home and Philadelphia having dominated this matchup last season, the 76ers certainly look the more appealing side. A lot will depend on who actually suits up for Indiana, but it’s hard to get excited about backing a team that’s won just once in its last 16 home games.

PICK – Philadelphia 76ers -4.5

Cleveland will be looking to keep their winning form going when they host Washington on Wednesday night, and if recent history is anything to go by, the Wizards could be in for another rough night. The Cavaliers have beaten Washington an incredible 16 straight times, including a clean sweep of all four meetings last season. Donovan Mitchell has been an absolute nightmare for the Wizards, averaging 34 points across three games against them last season.

The Cavs are coming off a massive 127-125 overtime win against Minnesota, where they clawed their way back from 15 points down. Mitchell led the charge with 26 points, 7 assists and 5 threes, while James Harden chipped in with 19 points and 9 assists. Peyton Watson also had himself a game, putting up 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocks. Cleveland have now won 12 of their last 15 home games, so they’re certainly not an easy team to knock over on their own court.

Washington continue to be a pretty frustrating team to follow. The Wizards went down 110-103 to Charlotte despite Anthony Davis putting up 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Trae Young added 22 points and 10 assists. The problem is that Washington have now lost 28 of their last 31 games, which is absolutely shocking no matter how you look at it.

AJ Dybantsa is also questionable to make his Wizards debut, adding another bit of uncertainty to their lineup. Cleveland have dominated this matchup for years, they’re playing well at home, and Washington just can’t seem to string wins together. Everything points towards another Cavaliers victory, although the size of the spread will be the big question for bettors.

Detroit and Charlotte have both made decent starts to the 2026-27 season, with three wins apiece heading into Wednesday night’s clash at Little Caesars Arena. The Pistons have had the wood over the Hornets in recent times, winning five straight meetings, including all three games last season. Charlotte will be hoping to finally put an end to that ugly run.

Detroit are coming off their first loss of the season after getting beaten 111-97 by the Knicks. Paul Reed was one of the few bright spots, putting up 22 points on an impressive 9-of-12 shooting, but the Pistons clearly missed Jalen Duren, who remains sidelined. After such a strong start, Detroit will be looking to bounce straight back in front of their home crowd.

Charlotte are coming in with a bit of momentum after knocking off Washington 110-103. Brandon Miller was absolutely on fire, dropping a career-high 39 points, knocking down 5 threes and adding 3 steals. Moussa Diabate also did plenty of damage inside with 11 points, 17 rebounds and 3 blocks. The Hornets managed all that without Coby White and Kon Knueppel, who are both still out.

Here’s an interesting stat for bettors: Charlotte have won 10 of their last 11 games when Miller scores at least 25 points. That’s a pretty impressive record and shows just how important he is to this team. Detroit have dominated this matchup lately, but with Duren missing and Miller playing some seriously good basketball, the Hornets could make things interesting. The Pistons might deserve favouritism at home, but Charlotte certainly aren’t a team to write off if Miller gets going again.

Miami and Atlanta will go head-to-head on Wednesday night in a Southeast Division clash, with both teams desperate to get things moving in the right direction. The Heat had the upper hand in this matchup last season, winning three of their four meetings, including both games in Atlanta.

The Hawks are coming off a disappointing 120-110 loss to Houston, despite Jalen Johnson putting up a solid 21 points and 9 rebounds. Atlanta haven’t exactly been making State Farm Arena a fortress either, having lost their last three games at home. They’ll be desperate to turn that around against a Miami side that’s struggling even more.

The Heat have had an absolute nightmare start to the season, dropping all four games to sit at 0-4. Their latest setback came against Dallas, where they went down 113-109 despite Giannis Antetokounmpo doing just about everything possible to drag them over the line. Giannis finished with a monster triple-double of 29 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, but even that wasn’t enough to get Miami its first win.

Atlanta also have a question mark over Aaron Wiggins, who’s questionable for this one. Neither team is exactly filling bettors with confidence right now, but Miami’s winless start is becoming a real concern. The Heat have enjoyed plenty of success against Atlanta in recent meetings, so this could be a decent opportunity to finally get on the board. Still, with both sides struggling, the betting line will be pretty important before making a call.

PICK – Atlanta Hawks -3.5

Orlando and Toronto will meet for the first time this season on Wednesday night, with the Raptors hosting the Magic at Scotiabank Arena. Toronto won last season’s series 2-1, with the home team winning every game. Brandon Ingram was a big factor in those meetings, averaging 26 points across two appearances.

The Raptors are coming off a pretty ugly 117-94 loss to Minnesota, but they’ve been much tougher to beat at home, winning nine straight against Eastern Conference opponents.

Orlando pulled off a solid 111-102 upset against the Knicks despite missing Paolo Banchero, snapping a four-game losing streak in conference play. Banchero and Jalen Suggs remain out for the Magic, while Toronto will be without Kawhi Leonard. With both teams dealing with injuries, this could be a tricky one for bettors.

New Orleans are still searching for their first win of the 2026-27 season and will get another crack at Denver when the Nuggets visit Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night. These teams only met on Saturday, with Denver grabbing a wild 141-135 overtime victory to make it seven straight wins against the Pelicans.

New Orleans haven’t played since that defeat, so they’ll be hoping the extra rest gives them an edge this time around.

Denver are coming off a pretty ugly 134-114 loss to Golden State despite Jamal Murray putting up 19 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. The Nuggets have also lost four straight on the road, which isn’t exactly inspiring confidence. Denver have dominated this matchup lately, but their recent away form gives the winless Pelicans something to work with.

Holding the same record in 2026-27, the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls will face off at United Center on Wednesday night. This is their first meeting in 2026-27. The Knicks won last season’s series 3-1, although it’s important to note that the Bulls split their two home games. More recently, the Bulls were obliterated 134-99 by Boston at TD Garden, marking an 18th loss from their last 22 games in conference play.

New York finally claimed the first win of its title defence, defeating Detroit 111-97 at Madison Square Garden yesterday. That victory came behind Karl-Anthony Towns’ 27-point, 20-rebound display on 12-21 shooting.

Minnesota have made a strong start to the 2026-27 season and will be looking to bounce back when they host Golden State on Wednesday night. The Timberwolves won three of four meetings against the Warriors last season, although Golden State did manage to split their two road games.

Minnesota are coming off a frustrating 127-125 overtime loss to Cleveland after blowing a 15-point lead. Anthony Edwards was absolutely on fire with 47 points and 5 threes, but even that wasn’t enough to get the job done.

Golden State finally got their first win of the season, smashing Denver 134-114 behind a monster performance from Yaxel Lendeborg, who finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. The big concern for Minnesota is that Edwards is out, while Lendeborg is questionable for the Warriors. Those absences could have a massive say in how this one plays out.

Houston have been absolutely flying to start the 2026-27 season, winning their first four games for the first time since 2014-15. They’ll be looking to keep that perfect record intact when they visit Milwaukee on Wednesday night. The Rockets also swept both meetings against the Bucks last season, including a 122-115 win on the road.

Milwaukee finally picked up a much-needed victory against Indiana, winning 110-102 behind Tyler Herro’s 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The Bucks are still sitting at a disappointing 1-3, though.

Houston knocked off Atlanta 120-110, with Alperen Sengun dominating with 29 points, 9 assists and 6 steals. Kevin Durant added 22 points and 9 rebounds, while Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in with 16 points and 12 boards. The big blow for Houston is that Sengun is out, while Marcus Smart is questionable.

San Antonio will be playing their second game in as many nights when they head to Utah on Wednesday, but recent history suggests the Spurs won’t be too worried. They’ve won four straight road games against the Jazz and took last season’s series 2-1, with Victor Wembanyama averaging a ridiculous 30.3 points across those meetings.

Utah are coming off another disappointing loss, going down 110-105 to Memphis despite Keyonte George putting up 26 points. The Jazz have now lost 14 of their last 16 games, which is pretty ugly form.

The Spurs smashed Sacramento 130-103 yesterday, with Wembanyama dominating again with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Julian Champagnie added 26 points. San Antonio have also won 39 of their last 40 games when Wembanyama shoots at least 55% from the field. With Lauri Markkanen and Jaxson Hayes questionable and Jaren Jackson Jr. out, Utah could be in for another tough night.

Oklahoma City have made a perfect start to the 2026-27 season and will be looking to keep things rolling when they visit Dallas on Wednesday night. The Thunder dominated this matchup last season, winning all three meetings, including both games on the road.

Dallas are coming off a solid 113-109 upset against Miami, with Cooper Flagg putting on an absolute show. The youngster finished with 29 points, 11 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks, helping the Mavericks improve to 2-2.

The Thunder knocked off Phoenix 125-114 behind a career-high 30 points from Ajay Mitchell and another 26 from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. OKC have now won 21 straight games when Mitchell shoots at least 55% from the field. Injuries could be a factor here, with Chet Holmgren and Alex Caruso out, Mitchell questionable, and Kyrie Irving and Naji Marshall also questionable for Dallas.
