MATCH PREVIEW

The Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field, hoping to regain some swagger after a frustrating 29-20 home loss to the New York Giants.

Seattle’s offense found it tough throughout the game, managing just one offensive TD late in the fourth quarter. To make matters worse, a blocked game-tying field goal attempt was returned for a 60-yard touchdown, sealing their fate. Now tied atop the NFC West, the Seahawks will need a bounce-back game against a division rival they’ve had trouble with recently.

The 49ers are also coming off a tough loss, having blown a 23-10 halftime lead to Arizona in a 24-23 defeat. San Francisco’s offense flopped in the second half, and quarterback Brock Purdy threw multiple interceptions for just the fourth time in his career.

The 49ers, however, have owned this rivalry in recent times, winning five straight against Seattle, including two decisive wins last season. Both teams will be eager to rebound and assert control in the NFC West race.
