The Say –
The game total line is set at the largest ever amount – that says all you need to know about what we should expect in this NFC Championship match between the Falcons and Packers.
Atlanta have been a surprise packet that most have expected to drop off, but is simply hasn’t happened as MVP-favourite Matt Ryan has lead the league’s best offense into a position where they have a home game to reach the SuperBowl for the first time since 1998, and get the chance to win the biggest prize in the NFL for the first time in in Falcon history.
Ryan has overcome an injury-interrupted campaign to star wide receiver Julio Jones and not missed a beat, ranking second in the league in total touchdowns and passing yards per game. The Falcons have passed 30 points in 12 of their 17 games this season, including their last five games and quite frankly it is not reasonable to expect the below-average Packers defence to be able to contain this offense at home.
Enter Aaron Rodgers. Since famously stating that the Packers would “run the table” after their loss to Washington in Week 10, the Packers mega-star hasn’t missed a beat as he has thrown 21 touchdowns and just one intercept. If anyone can win this game against such a great offense, at home it is Rodgers.

The Say –
Old foes reunite in Massachusetts as the Patriots host the Steelers in the AFC Championship game.
Pittsburgh were able to overcome Kansas City last weekend and win despite not scoring a touchdown, while the Patriots were far from convincing in defeating the league’s worst quarterback Brock Osweiler.
The Steelers come into this game knowing they are more than comfortable playing on the road, and capable of matching New England given the firepower they have at their disposal.
Ben Roethlisberger has been inconsistent but has big-play upside, however Pittsburgh’s best chance to win this game lies with elite running back LeVeon Bell. While others get the plaudits, there is no better player at this position than Bell, who shredded Kansas City last weekend, tallying 170 rushing yards; he has passed 100 rushing yards in seven of his last eight games and more than 165 yards in three of those games.
New England will hope Dion Lewis can replicate his form from last weekend; after missing most of the season he scored three total touchdowns and looked as good as he has all season. In quarterback Tom Brady, the Patriots know they have the best in the league at controlling the tempo of the game and taking what the defence gives – if that defence gives Brady the chance to feed Lewis, the Steelers are in strife.
