The 49ers, still reeling from a horrible Super Bowl loss, will kick off their 2024 season at home against the Jets under the bight lights of Monday Night Football.

The 49ers, who once again saw a double-digit lead slip away to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, will aim for redemption this season. With receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s contract situation resolved, the 49ers’ offence retains its key pieces, setting up another potential championship run.

On the other hand, the Jets are banking on a healthy return for four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tear just four snaps into his 2023 campaign.

With Rodgers back under center, New York is eager to end a 13-year playoff drought. If Rodgers can recapture his prime form, the Jets could be serious contenders in the AFC, with fans hoping for their first postseason appearance since 2010.
