DP’S PLAYER PROP

SEASON RECORD: 58-33

Expert NBA Player Props Analyst, Daniel Parisi, gives his best daily prop.

PORTLAND VS MEMPHIS

Last time these two teams met, Jusuf Nurkic suited up for the first time since breaking his leg. On this occasion, the Bosnian Beast returned 18 points on just under 50% from the floor.

Some 8 games later, Nurk is extremely well conditioned and has been equally as serviceable throughout the play in games.

With no JJJ for Memphis – they are really going to struggle for space and rim protection on the floor. Portland will continue to play the tall 1-2 punch of Collins/Nurkic which will pay dividends for Nurkic in particular.

If Portland win, they advance to the post-season with 2 days rest. They simply do not want to play the Grizzlies again and lose out on conditioning.

Expect Dame & Nurkic to go big.

The 9th seeded Grizzlies went 2-6 in the bubble and will have to beat the Blazers for a second time to clinch a playoff spot. On Thursday, Memphis shot 50% from the field during a 119-106 win over Milwaukee (a win which subsequently sent the 8-0 Phoenix Suns packing. Brutal).

Portland have gone 6-2 in the bubble and a win would send them into the 1st round to face the Lakers. On Thursday, Portland made vital late plays down the stretch of a high-scoring 134-133 win over Brooklyn. The Blazers made 21 of 24 free throw attempts and shot 48% from the field.

The loss of Jaren Jackson Jr. (torn meniscus) continues to bite at the heels of the Grizzlies, who have covered just 2 of their 8 games in the bubble, while the Trail Blazers have a 5-2-1 ATS record (they also have Dame D.O.L.L.A).
