I’m not loving what we’re seeing from the Portland Trail Blazers in the month of Apri.
Holding a 3-6 W/L record whilst trying to integrate Nurkic back into the line up and now dealing with a Lillard niggling injury, but tomorrow they start +8.5 underdogs at home in what presents as an opportunity to show up and be bold without their leader.
The guy that gets the go-ahead here is Normal Powell who has been shooting it lights out all season long. Prior to his most recent 38% from the floor, Norman had back to back 20 point games, and is clearly the 2nd most shot taker on the PTB roster less Lillard.
With consideration around how effective his 3-ball has been this year (42.1%) I think there’s enough juice in this game to suggest the PTB will hang around and compete hard wire-to-wire against the Clippers who might not be taking them too seriously.
