DP’S PLAYER PROP

SEASON RECORD: 62-38

Expert NBA Player Props Analyst, Daniel Parisi, gives his best daily prop.

TORONTO VS BOSTON

The defending champions need to sort out their offense quickly or Boston are bringing out the broom stick.

Nick Nurse. Make the change. Serge Ibaka to pick up Marc Gasol’s minutes. Serge gives you equally good rim protection and better spacing on the other end. Through 6 playoffs games thus far, Serge has returned 15+ in 5 games. In this series, Serge is shooting 50% on the floor while knuckling in 3 triples per game.

I’m confident that we’ll see Ibaka box score 30+ minutes en route to a strong offensive performance to keep this series alive.

DP’S PICK –  SERBE IBAKA OVER 14.5 POINTS

Down 2-0, the Raptors know what they are facing. They were here in this same position just a season ago.

Against the Bucks in the Conference Finals last season, the Raptors fell behind 2-0 before winning 4-straight on their way to the championship. They’ll try to repeat the feat again, beginning with Game 3.

Toronto blew a 12-point lead late in the 3rd quarter in their 102-99 Game 2 loss. Boston outscored the Raptors 32-21 in the 4th quarter.

Shot selection has been an issue for the Raptors so far in the series, most notably from three-point range, where they’ve made just 21 of 80 attempts (26.3%). Overall, Toronto is shooting 38.5%, compared to 44.7% for Boston.

Boston have had Toronto’s number all season, winning 5 of their 6 matchups. In the bubble, Toronto is 0-3 against Boston and 11-0 against all others.

Boston own the 20/21 full matchup with a 5-1 record. Why back against that?

PLAYER PROP

Expert NBA Player Props Analyst, Daniel Parisi, gives his best daily prop.

Boston defend the point well, limiting guards to 18% below the league average for points and rebounds over the last month in the bubble. Lowry has had some big games on the glass in the bubble, which has seen his line moved to 6.5, a line he hasn’t cleared yet against the Celtics this series.

With Marcus Smart all over him this might be another low output night for Kyle.

DP’S PICK –  KYLE LOWRY UNDER 33.5 PRA

The Clippers enter Game 1 as solid -8.5 favorites against the 3rd-seeded Nuggets who rallied from the brink of elimination with an 80-78 win in Game 7 of their first round series against the Jazz.
