Best Bet: Cleveland -5 @1.91 (U.S: -109) – Back at Quicken Loans Arena, the Raptors will need something special, and a change of scenery probably isn’t enough. Toronto’s 115-84 game 2 loss in Cleveland has this series seen as a foregone conclusion, and we tend to agree with the majority.
While trying to defend Cleveland’s hot three-point shooting last time out, the Raps struggled to guard the inside, which resulted in being outscored 56-36 in the paint.
Kyle Lowry has brought none of his regular season Cavs mathup stats (30 ppg, 66% shooting) into this series, going just 4-14 in game 2, with DeRozan chipping in with 18. If the Raptors are a chance to steal one, we are going to need 40 points each from both Lowry and DeRozan…..unlikely.
Toronto are getting hammered on the glass, and being beaten inside and outside offensively. The Cavs are really doing a number on Toronto, enough so that Lowry needed to leave the bench in game 2 to “Decompress”.
Cleveland to make it 3-0, and after winning nine straight in this playoffs, they won’t need a new broom for game 4, they can bring out the one used on Detroit and Atlanta.
Feeling Lucky: Cleveland 11+ @3.20 (U.S: +220) – As above, with a little more value. The Cavs are just on another level, and if they can continue on from game 2’s efficiency with Lebron 11-13 and 24 points, and Kyrie 11-17, 27 points, this is a nice play.
