The Nets are on a four-game streak thanks to Harden’s opening two Nets games. Harden became the first Net to record a triple-double Saturday in a 122-115 win over the Magic and then had 34 points and 12 assists in a 125-123 win over the Bucks in a what could be a playoff preview.

The Cavs got frontcourt pieces Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince from the Nets and (due to two COVID related postponements in Washington) are playing for the first time since a 106-103 win over the Knicks on Jan. 15th.

The 76ers lost a tough 106-104 slog on Saturday night in Memphis, then traveled to Oklahoma City, only to find out the game with the Thunder was postponed due to contact tracing for COVID-19. The Sixers waited a day and flew home.

The Celtics try to rebound from a 105-75 loss to New York on Sunday, where they shot a woeful 29.8% from the field, and never looked like challenging.

Jayson Tatum will not play for the third straight game due to COVID-19 protocol.

Brutal for the punters with so many COVID unknowns.

Atlanta survived a season-high 24 turnovers in a 108-97 win over Minnesota on Monday, while Detroit could not overcome 16 turnovers in a 113-107 loss to Miami on the same day.

The hottest Detroit player has been Jerami Grant. He scored 27 in the loss to Miami and has at least 20 points in 12 consecutive games. He averages 24.9 points a game.

The Hawks hope to get Cam Reddish (knee) back, but Rondo will likely still sit.

This will be the second meeting between the teams this season. Atlanta won 128-120 on Dec. 28th in Atlanta.

The T-Wolves had their ninth loss in the past 10 games Monday, after a 108-97 loss to Atlanta on Monday. It was their third game without Karl-Anthony Towns, who tweeted Jan. 15 that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

In Minnesota’s three games without Towns, they have allowed 108 and 118 points in losses to the Hawks and Grizzlies, but held the Spurs to 88 in the Timberwolves’ lone win in their past 10 games. It is the only time this season the T-Wolves have given up fewer than 100 points.

Towns will be out at least until Jan. 25.

On Monday, Orlando lost their sixth straight game, 91-84 to New York. It marked the fifth time during their current slide that they failed to reach 100 points.

The Kings have lost three straight and rank last in the NBA in scoring defense, giving away a huge 123.6 ppg. On Sunday, Sacramento was outrebounded by 15 during a 128-123 home loss to the Pelicans.

The Clippers are on a four-game win streak and trail the Lakers by one game for the top spot in the West. On Sunday, Los Angeles outscored the Pacers by 19 points during the third quarter to pull away for a 129-96 home win.
