2019/20 NBA MVP Odds
The 19/20 NBA regular season doesn’t begin until October 22nd; however, we’re already pretty keen to talk about the Most Valuable Player heading into what should be a season for the ages. The odds are very interesting and full of potential where we are sure you can take advantage of them before the regular season kicks off.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the reigning MVP and we are expecting tough competition from the rest of the NBA stars. The only thing that might work in Giannis’ favor is the fact that the new trend behind this season is two stars per team format, making Giannis not have to share the attention with anybody else (unless you count Khris Middleton…we don’t.).

The Sure Thing: Since this is now a league where the top team will mainly have a duplet in the star’s category, it will be pretty difficult to maintain the spotlight as the main culprit for a team’s success. So, this leaves players like Giannis and Curry as the main go-to-guys for their respective teams. We expect Giannis to have a great record with the Bucks and at the same time being the main guy on his team. The same can’t be said for Curry’s Warriors, as they are expected to take a hit in the standings due to Durant’s departure and Klay’s injury. Our sure thing pick is for Giannis here.
Value Bet: Strangely, Kahwi Leonard isn’t one of the top favorites to win the MVP, which automatically makes him the top contender for the value bet here. Picture this, all you need to do is place a $100 bet and if Leonard wins MVP, you earn a crisp $1000 in winnings. We recommend jumping on this before they realize the lines are too generous to be true.
The Hail Mary: We think Joel Embiid has potential here sitting at +1250. Picture this, The Sixers come up on top of the East and Joel loses some weight and has an injury-free season, the media is going to pinpoint this on the big guy from Philadelphia. Philly has greatly improved their team so we are expecting a better season, plus we know they are hurting from last season’s heartbreaking elimination from the Raptors. Expect Philly to come put with vengeance in mind and Embiid to lead the revolution here.
