TONIGHT’S MLB PICKS & PARLAYS

TAMPA BAY RAYS @ DETROIT TIGERS

The Rays meet the Tigers on Tuesday at Comerica Park.

The Tigers are listed as -175 moneyline favorites, and the total for the game is set at seven runs.

Tampa Bay (78-78) sends right-hander Ryan Pepiot to the mound. Pepiot, 27, is 8-6 with a 3.64 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 121 innings this season. His K:BB ratio sits at 131:42, with opponents hitting .213 against him.

Detroit (82-74) counters with lefty Tarik Skubal. Skubal is having a good season, with a 17-4 record and a 2.48 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 185 innings. He has struck out 221 while walking just 34, holding opponents to a .205 batting average.

The Rays have won four straight and are looking to push above .500 to close the season, while the Tigers remain in the AL Wild Card hunt.

Skubal’s home record (9-1, 2.13 ERA) could be key as the Tigers try to maintain momentum. Pepiot, on the other hand, will look to repeat his recent success, coming off a strong outing against Boston.

BEST PICK – DETROIT ML

MIAMI MARLINS @ MINNESOTA TWINS

The Marlins take on the Twins, with both looking to break a rough patch.

The Marlins, sitting at 57-99, have found it tough, in last place in the National League East.

The Twins, at 81-75, have already planned their holidays, winning only three of their last 10 games.

Miami will send Ryan Weathers to the mound, hoping for a turnaround despite his recent struggles. Weathers has allowed 11 runs in his last three starts and 37 runs in 75.1 innings this season.

The Marlins’ offense has also been bad, managing just six runs in their last two games. Jake Burger and Jesus Sanchez have shown power, but overall, Miami’s lineup has been below average.

Minnesota counter with Bailey Ober, who has been one of their more consistent pitchers, allowing just seven runs in his last three starts. Ober has a 3.18 expected ERA and has limited opponents to a .209 expected batting average.

The Twins’ lineup has been led by Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, with Jose Miranda and Trevor Larnach providing additional offensive support. Despite their recent run of bad form, Minnesota hopes Ober and their offense can help them chalk up some late season pride.

BEST PICK – MINNESOTA ML
