Burnes has been lights out in September, boasting a 1.08 ERA this month, and has been solid against the Yankees, allowing just two runs in 14 career innings. Despite their recent series losses, the Orioles are 10 games above .500 on the road, with Colton Cowser adding solid power numbers, though he’s been poor against New York this season.
The Yankees have Gerrit Cole on the mound, who has been a force lately, including a complete-game win in his last outing. Cole has a strong career track record against the Orioles, with a 2.57 ERA and a 6-3 record over 87.2 innings.
New York, needing just one win to win the division, has been red-hot in September, winning five straight series.

Kansas City is still after a wild card spot, tied with Detroit and just ahead of the Twins, making this game a must-win after a narrow 1-0 win in the series opener.
