The Brewers (93-69) will look to even up their three-game series against the New York Mets (89-73) on Wednesday night at American Family Field.
Manaea (12-6, 3.47 ERA) will start for the Mets, while the Brewers start Montas with a 7-11 record. Milwaukee is 7-3 in its last 10 games against New York, but the Mets took Game 1 of the series with an 8-4 win.
The Mets will aim for a series win after bouncing back from a loss to Atlanta earlier in the week. New York’s offense, led by Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso, has been strong, averaging 4.75 runs per game.
The Brewers, who averaged 4.80 runs per game during the season, struggled offensively in Game 1.
Milwaukee will need to get back on track to avoid another early playoff exit.

ATLANTA BRAVES @ SAN DIEGO PADRES
The Braves are on the brink of elimination facing the Padres in Game 2 of the NL Wild Card series on Wednesday night.
Max Fried will take the mound for the Braves, hoping to keep their season alive. Fried has been good, posting a 3.25 ERA this season and holding a career 2.30 ERA against the Padres. After a hectic few days, the Braves’ offense struggled in Game 1, going scoreless, and will need a big bounce-back performance to force a Game 3.
The Padres, with Joe Musgrove starting are looking to close out the series after a big 4-0 win in Game 1. Musgrove has been effective since returning from injury, boasting a 2.51 ERA in September.
San Diego’s offense, led by Tatis Jr. and Profar, has been strong, and the team is playing with some swagger.
A win would send the Padres to the next round, while Atlanta fights to stay alive.
