NEW YORK METS @ LA DODGERS
The NLCS shifts back to Los Angeles for Game 6, where the Dodgers hold a 3-2 series lead and aim to secure a World Series berth at Dodger Stadium.
The Mets extended the series with a 12-6 victory in Game 5, thanks to a three-run homer by Pete Alonso that set the tone early. Alonso now has four postseason homers, while Francisco Lindor and Mark Vientos continue to fuel the offense.
Sean Manaea will get the start for New York, bringing his 2.65 postseason ERA to the mound after two strong outings. Manaea has been nice throughout the playoffs, including a solid five-inning start earlier in this series.
The Dodgers will likely turn to a bullpen game, with Ryan Brasier and Walker Buehler as potential options. After a rocky Game 5 in which Jack Flaherty struggled on the mound, manager Dave Roberts will hope his bullpen can piece together the necessary innings.
Mookie Betts, who homered in the sixth inning of Game 5, continues to lead the Dodgers’ offense, along with Shohei Ohtani and Tommy Edman. The Dodgers will need their stars to shine to avoid a Game 7.
