TONIGHT’S MLB PICKS & PARLAYS

DETROIT TIGERS @ KANSAS CITY ROYALS

Detroit and Kansas City take the field in game two of their three-game series on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

The Tigers have had a good run of late into the AL Wild Card race, sitting just a few games behind the Twins, while the Royals hold the second Wild Card spot, two games ahead of Minnesota.

Tuesday’s pitching matchup will feature Detroit’s righty Casey Mize (2-6, 4.47 ERA) against Kansas City’s lefty Cole Ragans (11-9, 3.32 ERA). Mize, the former No. 1 pick, has had an injury-riddled career but hopes to build some swagger in this start.

The Tigers have been strong in the second half, going 29-23 since the All-Star break. On Monday, they came back from a 4-0 deficit, getting over the line 7-6, powered by Colt Keith’s two-run homer.

The Royals are eyeing their first postseason since 2015. Despite blowing a 4-0 lead on Monday, they rely on All-Star Cole Ragans for game two. Ragans has been good, striking out 211 batters and pitching 19 quality starts. In his last outing, he struck out seven over six innings, giving up just two runs.

Going conservative with the alt here but like this line leading into a 2-leg parlay of +120.

BEST PICK – OVER 6.5 TOTAL RUNS (ALT TOTAL)

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS @ COLORADO ROCKIES

The Diamondbacks (83-66) continue their series against the Rockies (57-93) on Tuesday evening.

Arizona, trying to get that Wild Card spot look to Jordan Montgomery, who has struggled this season with a 6.25 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP.

Montgomery who was recently demoted to the bullpen, is 8-6 on the year and allowed three runs in his last outing against the Rockies. Arizona leads the season series 8-2 and boasts a strong 41-33 road record.

Arizona’s offense has been a force, leading the league with 5.52 runs per game. Eugenio Suarez has been on fire with 12 RBIs this month, bringing his season total to 28 home runs and 95 RBIs.

The Rockies will counter with Ryan Feltner, who has shown promise, allowing just three runs in his last 11.2 innings. Feltner holds a 4.80 ERA and a 2-10 record, but Colorado’s bats, led by Ryan McMahon’s 19 home runs and 61 RBIs, have been very good at home.

Yes, we know the Diamondbacks outings have been printing money lately for the Overs, but an Under 13.5 alt total is just too good to resist.

BEST PICK – UNDER 13.5 TOTAL RUNS (ALT TOTAL)
