HOUSTON ASTROS @ LA ANGELS
Houston and the Angels match up on Saturday night at Angel Stadium.
Houston are -165 moneyline favorites, with the total set at 8.5 runs. Justin Verlander will start for the Astros, while Tyler Anderson takes the mound for the Angels.
The Astros, who lead the AL West by 4.5 games, are looking to bolster their playoff positioning. Verlander has struggled since returning from the IL, going 0-4 in his last four starts. Houston’s offense ranks 9th in OPS, while their pitching staff is 6th in ERA.
The Angels have had a pretty rough year, sitting 30-42 at home and 19-31 in the second half. Tyler Anderson, starting for LA, has posted a 3-8 record with a 4.67 ERA in home games this season.
Like the 8.5 total run line but after a couple of bleak night’s we’re playing it a little safer with the alternate 7.0 line.

LA DODGERS @ ATLANTA BRAVES
The Dodgers and Braves play tonight in the second game of a four-game series at Truist Park.
With the Dodgers leading the NL West and Atlanta still trying to book a wild card spot, both squads are looking for wins late in the season. Jack Flaherty (12-6, 2.86 ERA) will take the mound for Los Angeles, while the Braves will counter with Chris Sale (16-3, 2.38 ERA).
Los Angeles, with a five-game lead in the NL West, hope to rebound from a recent series loss to the Cubs. Shohei Ohtani continues his incredible season for the Dodgers, leading the team with 47 home runs and 48 stolen bases. The Dodgers have strong pitching as well, giving up just 3.85 runs per game.
The Braves are just one game behind the Mets for the final NL playoff spot. Marcell Ozuna leads their offense with 37 home runs and 98 RBIs.
Atlanta’s pitching staff is one of the league’s best, allowing 3.47 runs per game and boasting a 3.50 ERA, the best in MLB.
Taking the Dodgers tonight as +105 underdogs in what could be a pickem game.
