The Brewers will travel to Arizona on Friday night to begin a three-game series that could serve as a National League Playoff preview.
The Brewers, leading the NL Central Division, are eyeing another division title, while the Diamondbacks are battling the Padres for the top wild-card spot in the NL and looking to defend their National League Championship.
Milwaukee will start right-hander Tobias Myers (7-5, 2.93 ERA), who has been a standout rookie, while Arizona sends veteran southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez (2-2, 5.83 ERA) to the mound. First pitch is set for 9:40 pm EST.
The Brewers, despite some recent struggles, will rely on Myers, who was stellar in his last start, allowing just one run over six innings while striking out 11. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks have gained momentum with three straight wins, including a 14-4 win over the Rangers. Rodriguez, coming off an injury, will aim to improve after a shaky start in his previous outing.
Both teams have their sights set on October, making this a crucial series for playoff positioning.

The Reds and Twins begin a three-game interleague series at Target Field on Friday night. The Twins are favored at -215, with a total of 8.5 runs. Last season, Minnesota took two out of three games against Cincinnati.
Cincinnati enters this game following a 6-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, marking their fourth loss in seven games. The Reds, now 71-77, are 10 games behind the final NL wild-card spot. Rookie Julian Aguiar will take the mound with a 1-0 record and a 5.06 ERA over five starts this season. He threw 4.2 scoreless innings against the Mets in his last outing.
Minnesota, on the other hand, has won two straight after beating the Angels 6-4 on Wednesday. The Twins, 12-6 behind starter Bailey Ober (3.77 ERA), will aim for their third consecutive win. Ober has been stellar recently, allowing just one earned run across his last two starts over 13 innings.
