JOHN STARKS DUNKS ON MICHAEL JORDAN – 1993 EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
With the Knicks up 1-0 against the Bulls int the 1993 NBA Finals, John Starks became one of the few guards in history to put Michael Jordan on a poster.
The energy was electric in Madison Square Garden.
With the Knicks up 91-88 in the last quarter, and 50 seconds left on the clock, coach Pat Riley called side pick-and-roll with Starks and Patrick Ewing.
BJ Armstrong was on his heels expecting the patented Starks-Ewing pick, however Starks predicted this and went the other way, towards the hole.
With two dribbles and a gather, Starks launched to the rim.
Patrick Ewing said said “It was like Moses parting the Red Sea”.
The Bulls immediately called a time-out after the dunk as the MSG crowd lost its shit as the Bulls hands on hips wondered what had just happened.
The dunk was actually enough to cause Horace Grant’s goggles to near fly of his head.

John Starks was a heart and soul player for the Knicks, and for the home court fans to see such a big moment for him was unforgettable.
With the moment of the game, the location and the time, everything came together to create one of the most memorable dunks of all time.
