DERRICK ROSE GAME WINNER VS CLEVELAND
GAME 3 – 2015 CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, D-Rose, dropped one of the best buzzer beaters in modern history, and proceeded to then drop one of the best ‘like you were surprised?’ looks I’ve ever seen.
With the series tied 1-1, what came next caused me to lose my shit, and I loved every second of it.
How did it go down?
With the game tied at 96-96 with 3.0 left on the clock, Mike Dunleavy inbounds a bounce pass to Rose, who struggled to get free guarded by Shumpert, was given a heavy screen from Taj Gibson that gave him just enough time to gather and launch a 27-footer over Tristan Thompson with 1.3 left on the clock.
“Rose, trying to get open fires away! BANG! It’s over! The Bulls win it at the buzzer!”
LeBron looked at the big screen licking his lips in a slight hope that the gods may take the basket away. But it was all over.
The Bulls had won it 99-96
“It still is a madhouse on Madison as Derrick Rose nails the three, and the Bulls take a 2-1 lead in these Eastern Conference Semi-Finals!”
Derrick Rose – “I was supposed to get the ball in the corner. I said forget it. I ran towards the ball. They gave me an opportunity to get the shot off. I just gotta thank my team mates man, they gave me so much energy, they gave me so much confidence man, they gave me the ball when I need it, and they lived with me. They lived with my mistakes. I’m fortunate, very fortunate.”
