NEW YORK METS @ LA DODGERS
The NL Championship Series heads to Game 2 as the Mets again roll out into Dodger Stadium.
The sixth-seeded Mets have gone 3-3 over their first six road postseason games and lead all playoff teams with 38 runs scored. However they found it tough going in Game 1, where starting pitcher Kodai Senga lasted just 1.1 innings, giving up three runs in a 9-0 loss.
The Mets will turn to veteran left-hander Sean Manaea (12-6, 3.47 ERA) for Game 2, who has allowed just three runs in 12 postseason innings while striking out ten batters.
The Dodgers have been everything their roster says they should be, not allowing a run in their last 33 innings.
In Game 1 last night, Jack Flaherty threw 7 shutout innings, helping extend that streak, while Max Muncy and Mookie Betts provided key RBIs.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has not yet named a starting pitcher for Game 2, but it is expected that Walker Buehler (1-6, 5.38 ERA) will take the mound. Buehler struggled in his last outing, giving up six runs over five innings in a loss to San Diego.
With both teams boasting strong offenses (Mets ranking 9th in OPS and 7th in runs scored; Dodgers ranking 1st in OPS and 2nd in runs), this game could be a high-scoring affair.

CLEVELAND GUARDIANS @ NEW YORK YANKEES
The AL Championship Series kicks off as the Guardians visit Yankee Stadium for Game 1.
Cleveland made it through after a thrilling five-game ALDS win over the Detroit Tigers, highlighted by a grand slam from Lane Thomas in Game 5.
Cleveland’s bullpen has been a force, with closer Emmanuel Clase shining, but their lineup will need more from stars Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor, who have found it tough in the postseason. Cleveland starts veteran Alex Cobb, who had a solid 2.76 ERA in limited appearances this season but has a short leash after a shaky playoff start.
The Yankees dispatched the Royals in four games, with some great bullpen work and timely hitting despite a quiet Series from Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.
The Yankees will start lefty Carlos Rodon, who had a strong regular season but struggled in his last playoff outing. Rodon will look to bounce back with the support of a bullpen that has yet to allow a run this postseason.
With the Guardians’ taxed bullpen and Cobb’s likely short outing, the Yankees have the edge in Game 1, especially with Rodon primed for a better game at home.
