TONIGHT’S MLB PICKS & PARLAYS

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

The Giants (72-78) take on the Orioles (84-66) in the second game of their interleague series at Camden Yards tonight.

Both teams had a rest day on Monday.

The giants are struggling to stay in the Wild Card race, swept at home by the Padres over the weekend. San Francisco is 10 games out of the Wild Card with only 12 games remaining, making their postseason hopes slim. Rookie right-hander Hayden Birdsong (3-5, 4.74 ERA) will start for the Giants, who have lost all of his last six starts despite his recent solid performance.

The Orioles have hit a rough patch, losing three straight series, but they remain in the AL Wild Card race, trailing the Yankees by three games in the AL East.

Baltimore’s Dean Kremer (7-9, 4.10 ERA) will start, looking to rebound after a tough loss to the Red Sox in his last outing. Baltimore’s offense, led by sluggers Anthony Santander and Adley Rutschman, will aim to regain form as they look to hold onto their Wild Card position.

Tonight’s pitching lineups suggest there could be runs.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS @ COLORADO ROCKIES

The D-Backs (83-67) and Rockies (58-93) wrap up their three-game series on Wednesday at Coors Field.

The Diamondbacks are battling for a wildcard spot, currently holding the second NL Wildcard position, while Colorado are alread planning their holidays, but have won four of their last five games in a late season bright-spot.

Arizona boasts one of baseball’s top offenses, leading MLB in runs scored (824), on-base percentage (.337), and slugging percentage (.441). Ketel Marte and Eugenio Suarez have been keys, combining for 60 home runs and 182 RBIs. However, Arizona’s pitching staff has struggled, ranking 27th in ERA (4.64) and WHIP (1.36). Eduardo Rodriguez (2-3, 5.50 ERA) will start for the Diamondbacks.

Colorado’s offense has been inconsistent, ranking 19th in runs scored (633). Michael Toglia and Ezequiel Tovar lead the team with 24 home runs each. The Rockies’ pitching ranks last in ERA (5.40) and WHIP (1.51). Austin Gomber (5-10, 4.44 ERA) will start for Colorado.
