GAME PREVIEW

With opposite results in their openers, the Falcons and Eagles meet at Lincoln Financial Field for Monday Night Football.

The Eagles started their fixture by beating the Packers 34-29 at Neo Química Arena in Brazil. Saquon Barkley’s Philly debut saw him find the end zone three times while A.J. Brown turned five catches into 119 yards and a touchdown.

The Falcons had a rough 18-10 upset loss to the Steelers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Head coach Raheem Morris and QB Kirk Cousins made their Falcons debuts but three turnovers and a lowly 2-9 on third downs killed any likelihood for the offence to make a statement.

Atlanta’s offence has been pretty average on the road since early last season, scoring just 14.3 points per game – 8.1 fewer than its average at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. To buck that trend, the Falcons will be hoping Cousins looks better as he looks to bounce back from an Achilles tear.
