TONIGHT’S MLB PICKS & PARLAYS

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES @ TAMPA BAY RAYS

The Marlins push their road trip, taking on the Pirates in the second game of a three-game series Tuesday evening.

Adam Oller starts for Miami after a rough outing against the Phillies where he allowed four runs over 5.1 innings, bringing his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.25 WHIP in four starts.

The Marlins are having a pretty average year, sitting at 54-89 and 16 games under .500 on the road. Bryan De La Cruz has been poor, with no RBIs and a .333 OPS this month, although he’s hit 19 home runs on the season.

Pittsburgh has run a few in lately, scoring 25 runs in their last four games against the Nationals but below average on the pitching front. Their bullpen remains a weak point, posting a 4.66 ERA this season.

Oneil Cruz has been quiet lately, yet he’s had success against Miami, posting a solid 1.00 OPS in this matchup. Pittsburgh holds a 67-76 record, four games under .500 at home.

The 7.0 total line a little low for our liking.

BEST PICK – OVER 7.0 TOTAL RUNS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS @ SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

The Giants host the Brewers in a National League matchup tonight at Oracle Park.

The Brewers, holding a nice lead in the NL Central, are revving up for a postseason push, while the below .500 Giants are out of the playoff run but still aiming to finish the season strong. Milwaukee recently took two of three from San Francisco, but the Giants have won six of their last ten games, making this something worth watching.

The Brewers head out on the road after a poor homestand where they lost two of three games to both the Cardinals and Rockies. Although Milwaukee remains in first place, they’ll want to regain some swagger heading into the playoffs. Aaron Civale, who’s improved with a 4-1 record and 2.54 ERA over his last five starts, takes the mound for the Brewers.

The Giants, battling through a below par season, aim to play the role of spoiler. Uncertainty surrounds their pitching rotation for Tuesday, and they may rely on their bullpen. The absence of Wilmer Flores will hurt their offensive production, as the team struggles against right-handed pitching, hitting just .230 on the season.

We’re getting on the Brewers tonight as nice +120 underdogs.
