Sunday’s matchup between the Phillies and Marlins marks the last game of the season between the NL East rivals.

The Phillies will promote Seth Johnson for his MLB debut, hoping the rookie can build on his impressive minor league numbers. Philadelphia’s offense, ranked fifth in scoring, continues to show strength, especially after Friday’s explosion.
The Marlins, meanwhile, have been struggling all season, ranking near the bottom in most offensive categories. Despite a solid bullpen, Miami’s pitching staff has been decimated by injuries, leaving Max Meyer to make his 12th start.
Meyer has struggled this season with a 5.68 ERA and has allowed at least three runs in each of his starts since the All-Star break.

The Diamondbacks and Astros wrap up their three-game series on Sunday night.
The Diamondbacks are pushing for a National League wildcard spot, while the Astros are comfortably ahead in the AL West. Arizona will send Ryne Nelson (10-6, 4.15 ERA) to the mound, while Houston counters with veteran Justin Verlander (3-5, 4.52 ERA).
Nelson has had a solid season with 121 strikeouts and just 32 walks, while Verlander has struggled with injuries, allowing 12 home runs in 71.2 innings.
