Kawhi sat out overtime in Game 5, and the collective San Antonio crowd held it’s breath. Losing Parker and Kawhi in the one series would have been about too much to bear, but Kawhi should be back tonight, Parker… not so much.
The Rockets could have walked away with Game 5 were it not for a couple of errant passes late in the last quarter, ultimately coughing up a 9-point lead on the way to an overtime loss.
James Harden and Eric Gordon played 43 minutes each, with guard Patrick Beverley (41 minutes) and Trevor Ariza also playing at least 40 minutes. As fatigue came the Rockets found themselves making silly decisions, settling for tough shots instead of challenging the Spurs’ elite defense.
The -7.5 line of the Rockets is a little big for our liking, and although we are on the Rockets for the win, the line for the Spurs is our best bet for tonight.
