THE RUB
The Timberwolves and Nuggets will face off in a decisive Game 7 of their Western Conference Semi-Final series at Ball Arena on Sunday.
The Timberwolves forced the showdown by routing the Nuggets 115-70 at Target Center on Thursday. This game was historic, marking Denver’s largest playoff loss and their worst defeat since January 15, 1991, as well as their lowest score since January 29, 2015.
For Minnesota, it was their biggest playoff win and the fewest points they’ve allowed in any game since January 30, 2008. Despite this setback, Denver demonstrated their resilience earlier in the series, rebounding from a 106-80 loss in Game 2 to win Game 3 by a score of 117-90, showing that the reigning champions are not easily defeated.
