Neds Review

Below is an honest Neds betting review, with our experience with sports markets on the Neds.com.au wagering site, the history and the pros and cons of using the Neds website for sports and racing betting.

This Neds review is updated through different versions of the site.

Who are Neds.com.au?

Former Ladbrokes CEO, Dean Shannon launched Neds in 2017, the newest Australian owned and operating betting site as of October 2017.

Neds.com.au offers a selection of local and international sports and racing wagering markets, promotions and bonuses which are ideal for both new and experienced bettors and is licensed in the Northern Territory o Australia, like most Australian bookmakers.

Dean Shannon previously worked as Ladbrokes CEO following the bookmakers purchase of his betting wesite Bookmaker.com.au for around $22.5 million.

Neds also caters to bettors in the U.K . So good news for the there.

Without saying any more, here is our Neds betting review.

Neds Betting Products

Neds started in the market with two of the most popular betting products, a multi-builder called “Neds Multi Builder” and an odds boost product called “Bet Boost”.

Multi Builder

Neds Multi Builder makes it easy for bettors who enjoy placing a parlay/multibet, buy building a simple to use accumulator product for sports and racing.

Neds.com.au features flashy orange and black colouring, and a simple to navigate layout. Betting categories are placed on the LHS, including Racing, Sports, and Live In Play betting. Neds Sports Betting Review

There are a range of  sports markets at Neds for both local Australian sports and international events. Certainly not as many markets as the more established bookmakers at this stage however.

On the main sports markets page you will find ‘Next to Go’ markets, as well as the big events such as the NBA Finals and NRL Grand Final. Or you can click a sports category to view the markets using the tabs below, which sit in the main sports betting page.

Live in-play wagering is available for a range of overseas sporting events including MLB, NFL and NBA.

The Ned app – Smartphone and Tablet

Neds offers a mobile betting app which is available on smartphone and tablet.

Once you have downloaded and installed the Neds app, sign up, log in and start betting!

If you don’t wish to download an app, you can view the site via mobile browser on the mobile responsive website. Neds has been built to work with all portable devices, including Apple, Android and Windows.

You can access your account to make deposits and withdrawals from the app on the go easily also.

We heard that the app was a little slow on release, so we’ll wait and see whether it is able to handle the traffic when the big events roll around.

The Ned app allows for betting on the go, easily.

Final thoughts on Neds…

Neds are the newest Aussie-owned bookmaker to take on an industry largely dominated by Irish and English owned wagering companies.

As is the trend these days, the Neds interface is heavily geared towards mobile betting, which could frustrate desktop users who can’t view all available odds on a single screen. This does annoy us a little, however the range of sports and racing betting markets is strong, particularly for a new betting service, and a highlight for us is a  feature-packed racing interface (perfect for the Spring Carnival), and is up there with the best that we’ve reviewed. Those more into sports betting should give Neds.com.au a look while racing fans should 100% jump on board.

Overall, very impressed with such a new product.
