Who are Unibet Australia?
Founded back in 1997, Unibet are based in Malta, although their Australian side are licensed and regulated in the Northern Territory. The owning company of Unibet is Unibet Group plc, who are listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange in Sweden.
Unibet has enjoyed a history of great success, enabling them to make a number of acquisitions of other online bookmakers, including the Australian gambling site Betchoice in 2012.
Despite the rebranding, all Unibet.com.au deposits are still made to the company name Betchoice and “Betchoice Corporation Pty Ltd.” is listed at the bottom of each page. Betchoice’s administration office is located in Baulkham Hills, NSW and their call centre is located in Darwin, NT.
Betchoice was then rebranded as Unibet Australia and is one many of Unibet sites around the globe.

If you look in the footer of the Unibet site you will see the following –

It is not unusual for an Australian bookmaker to have a foreign owner, with Sportsbet another example.
Unibet Australia is an approved wagering partner of the AFL, NRL, ARU (Australian Rugby Union), Cricket Australia, PGA Australia, Tennis Australia, Netball Australia and the UFC.
Unibet Sports Markets
Unibet’s have an elite selection of sports markets, with 11,000+ sports markets available at the time of review. Along with the usual Aussie sports, American sports and world soccer leagues, markets are also available for everything from politics to surfing to reality television.
The selection of betting markets per match fixture is larger than the majority of other Australian bookmakers, with 125 markets per game on average.
Unibet was one of the first Australian bookmakers to offer betting markets on Australian domestic soccer leagues other than the A-League, with the NSW Premier League, SA Premier League and Western Premier League available for wagering.
Unibet Live Betting
Unibet Australia is licensed in Australia, and for this reason they can only offer live betting over the phone. However you will be able to view real-time odds and easily place your bet using the live betting interface shown below.
