The Warriors were at their best in Game 1 with Durant scoring 37 and Klay Thompson adding 28 (6-15 from 3-point range) to outplay the Rockets, who were lead by Harden with 41 points, with little help from his supporting cast.
The half-court offense of the Warriors seemed to disrupt Houston’s usually crisp movement of the ball, squashing CP3’s distribution with only 3 assists for the game, and a mere 18 team assists for the game.
The lack of ball movement from the Rockets is a concern, with Harden on numerous occasions playing iso-ball, settling for step back jumpers. Things will need to change in Game 2 if they want to level the Series.
