- The Pacers starters combined for just 38 points on 15-of-44 from the floor.
- The Celtics had a 55-42 advantage on the glass and held Indiana to 33.3% shooting.

- Detroit fell behind 38-18 after the first quarter in Game 1 and were never in the contest before finally falling 121-86, generally just not up to the speed of the game that the Bucks were playing.
