The Spurs drove home a point in Houston last out, reminding the up and comers that the old dogs aren’t ready for the rifle just yet.
A Harden 30 point 2nd half effort in Game 3 showed that the Spurs were happy for him to score, as long as him teammates did not. With that came some more classic Coach Pop game-plan….. one man cannot win a series alone.
“It’s a battle I’ve been trying to figure out all year long, to find a happy medium between scoring the basketball and facilitating,” said Harden, who finished with 43 points. “I think I just go with basketball instincts.
