We’ve been all aboard the Wizards this year, and coming into game 1 in DC, it’s hard for us to look away from our crew now.

Neither side impressed after the All-Star break, however both sides have All-Star caliber rosters.  The Southeast Division champion Wizards will also have the revenge card on their minds after losing the series 4-2 to the 1st seeded Hawks back in 2015.

To put it simply, we’re taking the Wizards tonight at home in Game 1, and we will also be taking the line.

The Say –

Pretty lengthy line of 14.5 in this one for a Game 1 matchup, but we can see why.

Golden State took this matchup 4-0 during the regular season, with an average winning margin of 8.5, and we can’t help but think this is when the Warriors hit 5th gear.

The series could be won and lost from beyond the arc. The Warriors (38.3%) ranked third and the Trail Blazers (37.5 %) sixth in 3-point percentage. Interestingly the Warriors had the best defense in the league against 3-pointers, while Portland ranked a lowly 27th.

Let it rain.

Tonight the Warriors will take game 1, but that line is still just too high for our liking.

The Say –

If we’ve learnt anything in our life of betting it’s that the Chicago Bulls over the last 10 years are just god awful to predict, and we will be taking this into account here.

The -6.o line for the Celtics as I write this seems a little skinny, however if the 8th seed Bulls can get their full squad on the hardwood, this could, get, ….interesting.

“They’re the eighth seed, but they’re better than what seed they are,” Isaiah Thomas said Friday. “They’re a really good team, especially with Dwyane Wade back. So we have to be ready for them.”

One thing to (silently take into account) is the issue of Isiah Thomas, with sister Chyna killed in a one-car accident early Saturday morning, according to the Washington State police.

Taking all into account, we just cant’ tip the Game 1 winner, but with an expectation of a close one, we’ll take the Bull’s line.

The Say –

The two MVP favorites do battle tonight, and our favourite…….James Harden ( get on him @3.50). Yeah we know about all the Westbrook triple doubles, but read further into the stats, and you’ll join our wagon!

But anyway…

Houston won 3 of 4 match-ups between these two this season, despite Russ producing averages of 36.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists. This won’t be sustainable in the Playoffs, and despite their advantage in bigs in Kanter, Adams, Gibson and the big Sabonis, the Thunder weren’t able to take advantage of their mass against the Rockets three guard line up.

The Rockets should win, but wins have been narrow in the series.
