LA Clippers @ Portland – LA Clippers WIN @1.78 – WIN
Washington @ Atlanta
The Say
The back court of Beal and Wall has the potential to cause some headaches this year, both for opposing teams, and also punters. Because if either of those two are off the mark on any given night, most parlays will be also.
Atlanta have lost 30 year old, four time all-star Al Horford to the Celtics and Jeff Teague to Atlanta, however they do acquire Kobe’s best mate, Dwight Howard, who may well thrive away from the spotlight and expectations of recent years. He’d better, my fantasy team relies on it.
All in all here, the Hawks at home look like a good bet, but with each team debuting in 2016/17, who the hell knows. Hawks at home…
Best Bet: Atlanta WIN @1.62
Feeling Lucky: Nope.
Boston @ Chicago
The Say
After 855 games (23.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 5.8 apg) and 3 Championship rings with the Heat, Dwyane Wade plays his first meaningful game in another team’s jersey, his hometown Chicago Bulls. Along with Rajon Rondo, Wade forms a nice roster shake up for the Bulls, which should make things interesting for a while, if nothing else. These two additions, along with Jimmy Butler, who by all social media accounts has been working out solidly at the beach errrr-day, the Bulls should be fun to watch.
The Celts are on the second leg of a back to back in which they just got over the line 122-117 against the Nets at home. This trip to Chicago will make it 1-1 for Boston, we just can’t see the opening night stage turning sour in Chi-Town.
Best Bet: Chicago WIN @1.99
Feeling Lucky: Chicago 1-10 @2.76
San Antonio @ Sacramento
The Say
The Kings got off to a winning start against the young Suns lineup but wont get the same ease at home against the Spurs. San Antonio showed the league on opening night they are still a force with Kawhi and LaMarcus given the keys to the Popovich machine.
As mentioned before on the second night of a back to back, the Kings will find it hard to get up against most teams, and on this occasion it will be near impossible with the Spurs with their stars up and running already.
Best Bet: San Antonio WIN @1.24
Feeling Lucky: San Antonio -8.0 @1.91
LA Clippers @ Portland
The Say
The Blazers had to rely on a massive effort from Lillard to get them over the line against the Jazz who were missing their two main offensive threats on opening night. Back at the Moda Center again, they host the Clippers who are coming into season 16/17 with high expectations.
LA’s All Star lineup is fresh for the beginning of the season and have some added depth to the second unit that could trouble most teams.
Very big opportunity for the Clippers to make a statement tonight.
Best Bet: Under 225.5 @1.20
Feeling Lucky: LA Clippers WIN @1.78
