Tonight’s NBA picks and parlays
5 on the slate tonight, and after a last leg loss last night we’re out for revenge.
The Midfield NBA Parlay:
Houston Rockets @ Charlotte Hornets – Houston WIN @1.52 (-187) – WIN
Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks – Total Points Over 192.5 @1.91 (-110) – WIN
Boston Celtics @ Portland Trail Blazers – Total Points Over 220.5 @1.91 (-110) – WIN
Houston @ Charlotte
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Houston | 20-6 | 18-11 |
Charlotte | 16-10 | 8-18 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Houston | 114.3 | 108.2 | +6.1 |
Charlotte | 105.2 | 104.4 | +0.8 |
Picks –
Houston recently went on a mid-season break, losing 7 straight before winning their last game against the NBA’s token motivational speakers, the Brooklyn Nets.
Houston have split their last 10, however we can excuse a couple of those losses, including the Warriors, Boston and Atlanta. Still trailing the Spurs by 3 games in the South West,
Houston all the way here, with their 2nd ranked offensive efficiency too much for Charlotte, currently ranked 14th in the same category.
The Beard to stir a few pots tonight.
Hornets 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games at the Spectrum Center.
Best Bet: Houston WIN @1.52 (-187)
Feeling Lucky: Houston -4.5 @1.91 (-110)
Philadelphia @ Orlando
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Philadelphia | 12-16 | 6-18 |
Orlando | 9-16 | 11-18 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Philadelphia | 100.5 | 106.6 | -6.1 |
Orlando | 99.7 | 105.8 | -6.1 |
Picks –
The 76ers have dropped their last 5 after some promising signs that had a few of us shouting “Playoffs!”… not so much at this point.
The Magic have not surprised us at all, because they have shown no signs whatsoever of being promising this season.
This is the 2nd of a B2B for the 76ers, who lost in a gallant effort at home against the Spurs last out.
The Under is 7-0 in Magic last 7 home games. We’ll wait for the odds.
Best Bet: Nope.
Feeling Lucky: Philadelphia +5.0 @1.91 (-110)
Cleveland @ Oklahoma City
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Cleveland | 22-5 | 14-10 |
OKC | 18-7 | 12-16 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Cleveland | 111.0 | 105.7 | +5.3 |
OKC | 105.5 | 105.3 | +0.2 |
Picks –
This is the 2nd of a B2B for the King’s men, who overcame the Pacers last night 132-117… that’s a lot of points, and surely a lot of energy was expended outscoring them 40-18 in the 3rd.
Korver went 8-9 from long range after spending his first handful of outings shooting beach balls. This would please LeBron, who loves a sharpshooter at his disposal.
Despite OKC being at home, with 2 day’s rest, there are certain games that champions and champion teams get up for. LeBron knows Westbook is MVP, so he may just be up for reminding the NBA public of why he is still the
King.
IN SAYING THAT…
If LeBron, Kyrie and K-Love site as has been suggested by little Coach Lue.
Best Bet: Total Points Under 220.0 @1.91 (-110)
Feeling Lucky: Denver +4.0 @1.95 (-105)
Utah Jazz @ Dallas
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Utah | 19-9 | 15-10 |
Dallas | 12-13 | 8-19 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Utah | 100.4 | 95.4 | +5.0 |
Dallas | 97.7 | 100.5 | -2.8 |
Picks –
Utah have been old-faithful this season, being the anchor to many successful parlays. Tonight however, they come up against a team that we have avoided despite much recent success, the Dallas Mavericks.
Over the last 10 the Jazz are 7-3, while the Mavs are a step behind at 6-4, with Dallas beating the Cavs and Spurs over that run. The Jazz’s most impressive win was against the Hawks, the rest were all sub .500.
Dallas are at home with a day’s break on the Jazz, and for our liking it’s the Utah boys. We’ll stick with our anchor.
The Overs are 15-6 in the last 21 meetings in Dallas.
Best Bet: Utah WIN @1.70 (-142)
Feeling Lucky: Total Points Over 192.5 @1.91 (-110)
Boston @ Portland
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Boston | 19-8 | 14-11 |
Portland | 14-11 | 9-19 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Boston | 108.0 | 105.7 | +2.3 |
Portland | 107.6 | 109.9 | -2.3 |
Picks –
Boston killed many parlays last night in a 92-108 thumping at the hands of the Kings, without Boogie…
Portland are favourite tonight due to the home court and extra night’s rest, and tonight is basically a healthy road record vs a healthy home record.
We’ll go with the Blazers tonight, with little confidence, the Totals line could be our friend.
Best Bet: Nope.
Feeling Lucky: Total Points Over 220.5 @1.91 (-110)
