The Trends-
- Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Washington.
- Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Washington.
We have been leaning towards the Wizards in this series with mixed results, and will be leaning once again now they return to DC.
Home court has been the advantage in the series thus far, but the Hawks have some solid momentum coming into this one.
The Wizards had Atlanta against the ropes in Game 4, leading 35-28 after the first quarter, with Dennis Schroder going to the bench with three fouls. Instead of piling on further pressure, the Hawks outscored the Wizards 31-15 on the second, eventually taking the game. The kicker being some surprising production from Dwight whose been quiet in this series, with 16 points and 15 boards.
Still, we’ll run with the Wizards here in a low scoring affair.

The Trends-
- Over is 21-7 in the last 28 meetings in Boston.
- Under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.
The Celtics dropped their first two on home soil in this series, a series which begun on the worst of terms for their star Isaiah Thomas with the death of his sister in the hours before the season opener.
Things have changed since then, with the biggest story since being the loss of Bulls PG Rondo for the series with a broken thumb.
Coach Hoiberg for the Bulls was verbally unimpressed with some of the finer points of the game in this series, specifically Thomas’s dribbling –
“When you’re allowed to discontinue your dribble on every possession, he’s impossible to guard. When you’re able to put your hand underneath the ball and take two or three steps and put it back down, it’s impossible to guard him in those situations.”
Thomas’ response –
“That’s not the reason why I’m impossible to cover. I’ve been dribbling that way my whole life.”
Perhaps a way to get into Thomas’ head, or the refs we’ll never know…
We’ve got the Celtics here on home court, with an impressive season record to take effect once more. That line’s a little too big though.
