SEASON RECORD: 56-32
PORTLAND VS LA CLIPPERS
The surging Portland Trail Blazers face their toughest test yet in the bubble when they square up with the LA Clippers.
The most pleasing story to date for Terry Stott’s men has been the successful return of the Bosnian Beast in Jusuf Nurkic.
Nurk is is averaging 32 minutes per game, 16.5 shots per game (making 8 flat) at 48.5% on the floor for 22 points per game.
Most recently, Nurk returned 20 points on the Nuggets and I expect him to exploit Zubac in both the PnR with Lillard and low post.
The Blazers want to give Nurk as many reps as possible as they transition towards stealing that 8 seed from the Grizzlies.
DP’S PICK – Jusuf Nurkic Over 17.5

The Clippers have gone 2-2 in the bubble and lead Denver by 1.5 games for 2nd place in the West. Los Angeles outscored the Mavs by 11 points over the final 12 minutes of a 126-111 win on Thursday.
Portland are healthy and outscored Denver by 12 points during the 2nd quarter and held on down the stretch for a 125-115 win on Thursday, connecting on a 23-for-39 from three point range to within a 1/2 game of Memphis for 8th spot.
Montrezl Harrell (personal) has yet to rejoin the Clippers and Patrick Beverley (calf) remains day-to-day.
Both rank top 6 in the league offensively, however previous season matchup totals of 214 and 208 suggest a lower total, despite the return of a healthy Portland lineup.
Clippers rank 2nd in the league defensively and the Blazers 27th.

The Suns are back in the race for a playoff spot after a 114-99 win over Indiana on Thursday. Phoenix have now won their last 4, moving to within 1.5 games of the 9th place Portland and 2 games of the 8th placed Grizzlies with 4 games left to play.
Miami’s last outing was a 130-116 loss to Milwaukee on Thursday. Miami led at the half 73-56, but shat the bed in the 2nd half after being outscored by 11 points in the 3rd quarter and 20 points in the 4th quarter. Miami without both Jimmy Butler and Dragic.
Phoenix are in 10th place in the West and battling for their playoff life and must jump 9th place Portland and either catch 8th place Memphis or finish within 4 games of the Grizzlies.
The unfashionable Heat to get it done.
PICK – OVER 223.5 TOTAL POINTS
PLAYER PROP
HOT STAT – Deandre Ayton has 10 rebounds or less in 5 of his last 7 games. (Line = 11.5 Rebounds)
Ayton has been putting up stats, but it’s going to be tough on the boards tonight. The Heat give up rebounds 14% below the league average to centres so far in the bubble, and across the last 30 days of gameplay, Miami are the best team in the league at restricting centres from rebounding, 11% below the NBA average.
Ayton’s hasn’t cleared the 10.5 rebound line in the last 3 games, and the only game he cleared it in the bubble was against Washington in Game 1, who are the 4th easiest team for centres to rebound against in the bubble.
PLAYER PROP – DEANDRE AYTON UNDER 11.5 REBOUNDS

The Bucks look for their 2nd-straight win following a 130-116 come from behind win over Miami on Thursday. Giannis and Khris Middleton each scored 33 points to lead the Bucks comeback win after trailing 73-56 at the half.
Dallas looks to bounce back from a 126-111 loss to the Clippers on Thursday. Dallas trailed by just 1 point at the half but were outscored in the 2nd half 67-53. Porzingis the leading scorer with 30 points while Doncic chimed in with 29 points.
The Bucks have clinched 1st spot in the East, while Dallas is battling for a better spot in the West.
Too much doubt in this one, we’ll stay clear.
PICK – DALLAS +5.5
PLAYER PROP
Doesn’t matter if the Giannis is set to just play only 30 minutes, he’s averaging 29.7 ppg over the same amount of minutes all season.
Take out the game against Brooklyn where he only played 16 minutes, Giannis is averaging 35 points in 31 minutes from the three games in the bubble. Last time he played the Mavericks he had 48.
PLAYER PROP – GIANNIS OVER 27.5 POINTS
