THE RUB
Both teams scraped through their opening nights with 1-point wins.
The T-Wolves went to OT to earn a 127-126 win in Brooklyn, overcoming an 18-point deficit and 50-points from Kyrie.
The Hornets scrapped to a 126-125 at home against the Bulls on the back of seven 3-pointers (NBA record for a debutante) from PJ Washington.
Batum suffered a fractured left middle finger on Wednesday and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
Like the Overs in this one with both leaky defensively and potent offensively in their openers.
OUR PICK – Minnesota -5.5

Boston flopped their way into 2019/20 with new $141m dollar man Kemba scoring 12 points on 4-of-18 shooting and shooting 36.7% from the floor as a team in a 107-93 loss to Philadelphia.
Siakam (18 rbs) and VanVleet scored 34 points each in the Raptors first win post-Kawhi against the Pelicans.
Still some good signs from the Celtics with Hayward finishing with 25 points, and we like them to get the job done, but like the Total Points more.
OUR PICK – Over 216.0

Kyrie scored 50 in his Brooklyn debut – the highest-scoring 1st game for a team in NBA history – but the Nets still fell 127-126 in OT to Minnesota.
RJ Barrett had a nice first outing also with 21 on 9-of-13 shooting for the Knicks, who led by 6 with under 10 minutes remaining before doing what the Knicks do, losing by 9 to the Spurs.
Gotta take the Nets here in a game with points. No faith in New York until proven otherwise, which we won’t be…

THE RUB
OKC got vet Chris Paul back in the deal that sent Westbrook to Houston and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari were part of the return from the deal that sent Paul George to the Clippers, and the three combined for 69 points in a 100-95 loss to the Jazz in their opener.
Gilgeous-Alexander will get a larger role than the one he filled at LA last season and he opened his campaign with a career-high 26 points. Watch for the Total Points line for him tonight.
That 220.5 line is a bit high for our liking, and OKC is decent value at -8.0 against what might be one of the worst teams in the league.
OUR PICK – Under 220.5

Both are young teams, and both showed that they have a lot of work to do on the defensive end in their openers.
Despite 35 points and 17 rebounds from forward Lauri Markkanen, the Bulls fell 126-125 in their opener at Charlotte.
Chicago has covered the number in each of the last 4 versus Memphis and in 5 of the last 6 played in Memphis.
Bulls at the ML a nice little underdog, with Unders also good.
OUR PICK – Chicago +1.0

The Total Points lines tonight are going to catch out a lot of punters, we’re predicting a few to go Under the totals, this being one of them.
Porzingis made his long-awaited return after missing around 20 months with a knee injury and he looked like he never left, with a solid 23 points.
The Pelicans who are without Zion (knee) for about six weeks, took the reigning champions to OT before falling 130-122, Ingram with a team-best 22 points.
Dallas looked strong on both ends of the floor in their opener with their star Europeans Doncic and Porzingis combining for 57 points.
Look for Dallas to slow the tempo against the Pelicans.

DeAndre Ayton (18pts & 10rbs in the season opener) has been suspended for 25 games for the use of a banned diuretic, and so far the lines haven’t adjusted to reflect this, but they will.
The Suns, who haven’t made the playoffs since 2009-10, hope to gain momentum after their season opening 124-95 win over the Kings on Wednesday.
With Ayton out, we don’t give much hope to Suns (who we do rate as a team) coming into this one.
- Suns are 3-10 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
- Suns are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Denver.
OUR PICK – Denver -10.5

Portland dropped a 108-100 decision to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday to end an 18-game winning streak in home openers, the longest such run in NBA history.
Luke Walton’s coaching debut with Sacramento resulted in a severe pummeling as the Phoenix Suns delivered a 124-95 whipping on Wednesday and shooting guard Buddy Hield (left ankle), De’Aaron Fox (left knee) and Marvin Bagley (thumb out 4-6 weeks) with injuries.
Kings short-handed, take the Blazers on the road.

The LeBron-Davis era started with a 112-102 loss to the Clippers, with the Lakers lineup looking a bit rag-tag at times. Davis with 25 points and 10 rebounds, LeBron with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Danny Green top scoring with 28 points.
The Jazz opened their season with a 100-95 victory over OKC with Donovan Mitchell notching 32 points on 14-of-22 shooting and a career-best 12 rebounds.
The Jazz have won 13 of the past 16 meetings, and despite the public smashing Lakers tonight, we’ll lean toward the Jazz.
