Ben Simmons has shown during the first week just why the 76ers made him the #1 pick of the 2016 draft, with back to back double-doubles over the first two. That however still hasn’t translated into any victories for Philly.
“To me, (the stat line) looks great but I’d rather have a win, honestly,” said Simmons, averaging 15.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists.
Detroit (2-1) is coming off a 111-107 road victory over the Knicks.
Embiid returns for Philly, while the Pistons will be looking to make it 2-0 at their new home court.
Detroit for the win, with the 76ers not far away.

Miami lost their opener but bounced back to win Saturday night against the Pacers.
The Hawks, won its opener but has now lost two in a row, including a Sunday afternoon at the Brooklyn Nets in the midst of a 5-game road trip to start the season. Not an easy task for a rebuilding team.
With leader Schroder (23.3 points and 6.7 assists) listed as questionable, the Hawks will struggle should he sit.
Miami have their own concerns with Whiteside likely to sit for a second straight game.
If Schroder sits, take the line for the Heat, otherwise stay away.

The Rockets (3-0) survived a grudge match against the reigning champs, won again the next night in Sacramento, then cruised to a comfortable over the Mavs, while CP3 sat on the sidelines.
Memphis are shifting to the pace-and-space model played throughout the league, leaving the “Grit and Grind” style behind.
Memphis to keep it tight, with Overs the best bet.
Charlotte @ Milwaukee

The Hornets should have one thing on their mind tonight…stop Giannis (league best 38.3 ppg).
“I’m going to do whatever it takes for my team to get a win. You know what I’m saying? I don’t have (anything) to lose. I’m going to keep playing hard, keep being humble and keep working on my craft and hopefully, I can be one of the best in the league in the future.”
13 year veteran Dwight Howard is averaging a double-double (15.0 points, 15.0 rebounds) through the first two games, however will need to do much more than that to convince us that he isn’t the biggest waste of size in human history.
Charlotte has won 11 of the last 14 meetings but has dropped two in a row to Milwaukee.
Milwaukee win, but don’t break the line in a close one.

It has been almost 10 years since Toronto have defeated the Spurs on the road. Given that they only play there once a season, it is a little inflated but it doesn’t change the fact the Raptors aren’t fond of the AT&T Center. Even without Kawhi, the Spurs still look the goods, given the Raptors have had a pretty lax first two opponents in the Bulls and 76ers.
Washington @ Denver

At this early period of the season, the home team is usually the best indicator. The Wizards have been impressive in their first two games (at home), although, a road trip to Denver is hard for any team to come away with a victory. Although, Jokic will need to at least score in this game for the Nuggets to remain competitive.
Sacramento @ Phoenix

Not even a week in and the Suns have fired their head coach. They didn’t have the best poker face when trying to tank. Bledsoe on twitter isnt keen on hanging around either. Unlike the Kings who are rebuilding too, but with some class.
