The Midfield NBA Parlay:
Portland Trail Blazers @ Orlando Magic- Total Points Over 213.0 @1.91 (-110) – WIN
Charlotte Hornets @ Detroit Pistons – Detroit WIN @1.49 (-212) – WIN
Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans – Houston WIN @1.59 (-175) – WIN
New York @ Cleveland – Cleveland WIN @1.14 (-714) – WIN
Tonight’s Best Pick:
Portland Trail Blazers @ Orlando Magic- Total Points Over 213.0 @1.91 (-110) – WIN
Portland @ Orlando
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Portland | 14-13 | 9-20 |
Orlando | 9-18 | 12-19 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Portland | 107.3 | 110.1 | -2.8 |
Orlando | 99.5 | 106.1 | -6.6 |
Picks –
The first game back happens at the Amway Center after the another anti-climactic All-Star Weekend.
Orlando crawled into the break with a 3-7 record over their last 10, while the Blazers went 4-6, losing their last 3 thanks to excessive turnovers and awful shooting.
Orlando have dealt Serge Ibaka to the Raptors, while gaining Terence Ross, who should be good to go in this one following a full practice.
We’ll go for the upset tonight.
Portland are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games.
Best Bet: Total Points Over 213.0 @1.91 (-110)
Feeling Lucky: Orlando WIN @2.21 (+120)
Charlotte @ Detroit
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Charlotte | 16-13 | 8-19 |
Detroit | 17-11 | 10-19 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Charlotte | 104.5 | 104.2 | +0.3 |
Detroit | 101.2 | 101.7 | -0.5 |
Picks –
Charlotte have tasted victory once over their last 12, which included blowing a 17 point last quarter lead last time out against Toronto. The Pistons in better form with 6-4 over their last 10.
The Charlotte away record tips the scales the way of the home team. Pistons for us, in a scrappy affair. Unders looks good.
Best Bet: Detroit WIN @1.49 (-212)
Feeling Lucky: Total Points Under 207.0 @1.91 (-110)
Houston @ New Orleans
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Houston | 21-7 | 19-11 |
New Orleans | 14-15 | 9-19 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Houston | 114.4 | 108 | +6.4 |
New Orleans | 103.4 | 106.5 | -3.1 |
Picks –
One word. Boogie.
The combination of Boogie and Davis for the Pelicans is a devastating force, however is likely one that will take a little time to get right. This could go one of two ways…
1.) The Pelicans pull the excitement, atmosphere and energy of a huge trade to the court and make the night one to remember for the fans….or
2.) The two big boys down low for the Pelicans get in each others way, while the Rockets fire away a new NBA record for 3-point attempts while doing their best to avoiding the paint.
We’ll go for the latter.
Best Bet: Houston WIN @1.59 (-175)
Feeling Lucky: Houston -4.0 @1.91 (-110)
New York @ Cleveland
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
New York | 14-15 | 9-19 |
Cleveland | 24-5 | 15-11 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
New York | 106.1 | 109.2 | -3.1 |
Cleveland | 111.3 | 106 | +5.3 |
Picks –
Nothing here indicates a Knicks chance, especially at the Quicken Loans.
K-Love will continue to sit for the Cavs with a dodgy knee for a few weeks. Cleveland rank 3rd in offensive efficiency, while the Knicks rank 25th in defensive efficiency…. and that’s that.
New York’s best chance here would be to suit up Charles Oakley and at least bring some resemblance of heart to the floor.
A blowout here for the King’s men.
Best Bet: Cleveland WIN @1.14 (-714)
Feeling Lucky: Cleveland -10.5 @1.91 (-110)
LA Clippers @ Golden State
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
LA Clippers | 18-8 | 17-13 |
Golden State | 24-3 | 23-6 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
LA Clippers | 107.9 | 104.1 | +3.8 |
Golden State | 118.2 | 105.4 | +12.8 |
Picks –
Kevin Durant has 25.8 ppg, Curry has 24.7 ppg and Klay Thompson has 22.1 ppg, and things are going swimmingly in the Bay Area.
Following a minor slump, the Clippers headed into the All-Star break with 4 straight W’s.
The Warriors will take this one at home, a 24-3 home record is nothing to bet against in a sober state.
The day’s of single digit lines for the Warriors are gone, and boy do we miss them.
Golden State have won the last 8 in this matchup.
Best Bet: Nope.
Feeling Lucky: Total Points Under 232.0 @1.91 (-110)
Denver @ Sacramento
Win/Loss
TEAM | HOME | ROAD |
Denver | 15-13 | 10-18 |
Sacramento | 12-15 | 12-18 |
Points +/-
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Denver | 110.6 | 111.8 | -1.2 |
Sacramento | 103.0 | 105.7 | -2.7 |
Picks –
The Nuggets score in droves, and have a horrible defense. Total overs here.
The loss of Boogie will test the resolve of the Kings, who’ve lost not only their best player, but also their heart and soul.
Denver to win tonight, break the line, and be the first of many teams to rub a little salt in the wound following the departure of the big fella.
This will be an awful game of basketball.
Best Bet: Denver WIN @1.35 (-285)
Feeling Lucky: Total Points Under 220.5 @1.91 (-110)
