Tonight’s 11 NBA Picks
Brooklyn @ New York
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Brooklyn | 105.6 | 107.7 | -2.1 |
New York | 102.2 | 109.8 | -7.6 |
The Say
The first battle for the Big Apple in season 16/17 and the Nets are on a back to back. Lucky for them that the travel to MSG is not too taxing on the body. Although at 2-4, the Knicks need a win at home.
Best Bet: New York WIN @1.25
Feeling Lucky: New York -8.5 @1.91
Boston @ Washington
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Boston | 110.2 | 111.8 | -1.6 |
Washington | 98.7 | 105.5 | -6.8 |
The Say
Things are changing in Washington in the big white building but nothing much is changing on the court. Without Crowder and maybe Horford, this is the Wizards best chance yet to grab win number 2.
Best Bet: Boston +5.0 @TBC
Feeling Lucky: Washington WIN @1.96
Utah @ Charlotte
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Utah | 98.4 | 94.4 | +4.0 |
Charlotte | 105.3 | 96.5 | +8.8 |
The Say
Utah have shown they can get it done on the road with wins against the Spurs and the Knicks/76ers on a back to back but at Charlotte, they will meet their match. The Hornets have been cruising with the second best record in the East, but are still not a certainty against the Jazz. Play it safe.
Best Bet: Charlotte +9.5 @1.22
Feeling Lucky: Charlotte WIN @1.78
Minnesota @ Orlando
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Minnesota | 103.0 | 103.5 | -0.5 |
Orlando | 92.9 | 102.0 | -9.1 |
The Say
The Wolves got handled last night by the Nets and have now dropped to 1-5 (0-4 on the road). Without a legitimate Point Guard and Orlando able to throw Biyombo, Ibaka and Vucevic at Towns, the Wolves are staring at another loss.
Best Bet: Orlando +7.5 @1.22
Feeling Lucky: Orlando 1-10 @2.65
Philadelphia @ Indiana
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Philadelphia | 91.3 | 105.0 | -13.7 |
Indiana | 108.3 | 113.0 | -4.7 |
The Say
The one positive for the Pacers this season is they are 3-0 at home. Coming up against a 76ers team who are 0-6 for the season, Indiana must win.
Best Bet: Indiana -3.5 @1.18
Feeling Lucky: Indiana -11.5 @1.86
Chicago @ Atlanta
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Chicago | 107.3 | 100.4 | +6.9 |
Atlanta | 107.7 | 98.1 | +9.6 |
The Say
The Hawks had their best win of the year snapping an 11 game losing streak to the Cavs and handing them their first loss of the season. On a back to back at home against a Bulls team will be tough. Although, the Hawks have enough bench depth to cover.
Best Bet: Atlanta +7.5 @1.20
Feeling Lucky: Atlanta 1-10 @2.80
Toronto @ Oklahoma City
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Toronto | 100.8 | 95.5 | +5.3 |
Oklahoma City | 102.7 | 97.9 | +4.8 |
The Say
This game is shaping up to be a shootout between Westbrook and DeRozan. The Thunder have been impressive at 6-1 (their best start ever) but will be pushed by the Raptors. Could go either way.
Best Bet: Risk it for the Feeling Lucky
Feeling Lucky: Toronto WIN @2.33
Detroit @ Phoenix
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Detroit | 97.9 | 96.0 | +1.9 |
Phoenix | 107.6 | 114.6 | -7.0 |
The Say
Liking the Pistons here and also loving the look of that total points line. The Suns have liked nothing better than scoring, and allowing to score in 2016/17, and that will be a nice one to take here.
The Pistons have been disappointing so far this season, and they will drop another rung after tonight.
Best Bet: Detroit WIN @1.70
Feeling Lucky: Total points over 204.5 @1.91
Houston @ San Antonio
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Houston | 108.9 | 107.9 | +1.0 |
San Antonio | 102.6 | 97.1 | +5.5 |
The Say
The battle of Texas rages on tonight, and the Rockets are arriving at a good time. With some momentum and confidence following a couple of nice road wins, Houston are arriving at AT&T Center, a place that doesn’t seem to be the fortress that it was over the last couple of seasons.
The Spurs have dropped their last two at home, however the possibility of having spiritual leader Tony Parker back on the court may straighten the Spurs backs a little.
Spurs at home in a close one.
Best Bet: San Antonio WIN @1.29
Feeling Lucky: San Antonio 1-10 @2.42
Portland @ LA Clippers
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Portland | 110.3 | 110.8 | -0.5 |
LA Clippers | 104.3 | 89.4 | +14.9 |
The Say
The Clippers are holding opponents to a measly 89.4 ppg while pouring in 104.3 themselves so far this season.
Portland’s elite backcourt were on fire last game out against the Suns with Damian Lillard scoring 38 points, 22 in the final quarter, and his mate C.J. McCollum adding 33.
The Blazers are scoring as much as they are letting through, and the short odds for the Clippers is just a little too slim for us to take the H2H. The Blazer legs will be weary, and the Clips should win here, but we’re just not liking the odds value.
Best Bet: Nope.
Feeling Lucky: LA Clippers 1-10 @2.54
Dallas @ Golden State
Points +/- Rank
TEAM | OWN | OPP | DIFF |
Dallas | 97.4 | 100.4 | -3.0 |
Golden State | 112.9 | 109.4 | +3.5 |
The Say
Warriors here until the cows come home. Against a Dallas them that is struggling to score the Warriors will get over the line without a fuss.
The side story will be the return of old pals Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes, both members of the 2014/15 championship. The loss of Bogut has been noticeable this year.
“Defense is just like offense; it’s a chemistry thing,” Green told reporters after Monday’s 116-106 home victory over New Orleans. “Last year we had Bogut back there protecting the rim. He’s one of the best at that — maybe even THE best. Now we have Zaza (Pachulia). He’s a good positional player, but he’s different. It’s something we have to adjust to.” said Draymond Green.
Nowitzki, Deron Williams and Devin Harris likely to sit for Cuban’s boys.
Best Bet: Golden State -14.5 @1.91
Feeling Lucky: Stephen Curry 30+ Pts/Golden State To Win @2.30
