Rockets first-year coach Stephen Silas earned his first career W on Thursday, after a 122-119 home win over Sacramento, whom the Rockets will host again tonight. With the Rockets trailing inside the final five minutes, Harden took control and had a hand in the final 18 points for Houston while posting 33 points and 8 assists.
The Kings have, in this short sample size, established an shared approach offensively. Sacramento entered the back-to-back against the Rockets with six players averaging double figures in scoring, and on Thursday produced three 20-point scorers while Buddy Hield added 19 points plus a team-leading five 3-pointers.
That unselfish play has made the Kings a difficult team to defend over long stretches.

The Knicks will look to bounce back Saturday night from a historically rough shooting performance in a 100-83 loss to Toronto. The starting lineup was 0-for-23 from beyond the arc, marking the most misses by a starting lineup without a made 3-pointer in NBA history.
The Pacers were far better from beyond the arc in their final game of 2020. Oladipo hit a team-high four 3-pointers as Indiana shot a season-high 45.7% from 3-point land (16-of-35), its highest % since it shot 48.4 percent (15-of-31) against the Spurs on March 2, 2020.

After starting 4-0 for the first time in franchise history, Orlando got a reality check in Thursday’s 116-92 loss to Philadelphia, shooting 34.7% from the floor and 25% from behind the 3-point line in the 116-92 loss while struggling defensively, especially in guarding the 3-point line.
OKC have lost three strraight, but in the first of those two losses including a 118-107 loss to Orlando earlier in the week, they were competitive until the end. That wasn’t the case Thursday in a 33-point blowout loss to the Pelicans where OKC scored just 80 points for the first time since a post-season loss in August to the Rockets.
