The Hawks have not been at full health, however offensively they are cruising along nicely and will look to improve to 4-0 tonight, averaging 124.7 points, shooting 48.2 percent and 41.6 percent from 3-point range.
Atlanta finished 20-47 last season, missing the playoffs for the third straight year, while Trae Young increased his scoring average from his rookie season from 19.1 points to 29.6.
The Hawks were aggressive in free agency, adding Bogdan Bogdanovic, Rondo, and Gallinari to join Young and Clint Capela, who was acquired from Houston at last season’s trade deadline.
The Nets opened the season strongly with nationally televised blowout wins over Golden State and Boston, but have followed up those wins with a two-point loss at Charlotte on Sunday followed by a 116-111 OT loss at home to Memphis on Monday.
The Nets took three of four meetings last season and are 12-2 in the past 14 meetings. Young scored 47 in his only visit to Brooklyn when the Nets posted a 122-112 win on Dec. 21, 2019.

Last night, Milwaukee raced out to a 20-point lead after one quarter and coasted to a 144-97 road triumph against Miami. The Bucks (2-2) connected on a franchise record 29-for-51 from long distance and shot 55 percent overall.
The Miami Heat made an improbable NBA Finals run in the bubble and have started slowly with losses in two of their first three games.
On Tuesday, Miami played without All-Star G/F Jimmy Butler and trailed by 32 points at halftime. The Heat (1-2) were dominated on the glass by a 45-30 margin and turned the ball over 22 times in defeat.
Jimmy Butler is questionable tonight, so take the -5.5 for the Bucks while their swagger has peaked.

Gordon Hayward is Charlotte’s best player and MJ coughed up $30m a year for the oft-injured former Celtic.
Hayward has averaged 35 minutes in the first three games and has already made an impact in Charlotte. He opened up with 28 points and 7 assists against the Cavs, had a lul against OKC with 12 points and 7 assists, and then on the 2nd-leg of the back to back wnt big against the Nets with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.
His points line tonight is 17.5 and assist line is 4.5 – clearing points twice (with ease) and he’s recorded 7 assists in each game so far.
Liking another 20+ point outing from Hayward, which he should (if he remains healthy) average across the year, while his assist game is on-point at the moment.
Expecting his PA to land around 28+ in this one.

Both teams have been up and down early in the season and hold 1-2 records, and both are coming off their strongest performances of an early season.
The Mavericks smashed the Clippers 124-73 on Sunday, building a 50-point halftime lead for the largest midway margin in NBA history.
The Hornets displayed segments of stingy defense, resulting in a 106-104 home win against the heavily favored Nets.

LeBron’s crew head to San Antonio after a 115-107 loss to Portland on Monday (which killed our parlay) in the Lakers’ second game in two nights. The loss ended a two-game win streak for the Lakers, who finished their season-opening homestand 2-2.
LA got just 23 bench points, as the team struggled on the second night of a back-to-back. Kyle Kuzma missing five straight open three-pointers to effectively end many parlays the world over.
The Spurs head home after their first loss of the season, 98-95 at New Orleans on Sunday. San Antonio had a chance to tie the score, but DeRozan’s 3-pointer in the final seconds was blocked.
The Spurs had 15 turnovers in the loss, were outscored at the foul line 21-8, and allowed 13 offensive rebounds to New Orleans.
Los Angeles went 3-0 against the Spurs last season.
