Houston came out hot with a 39-22 lead after the 1st quarter in Game 6 and held a 61-51 leaad at half-time, only to then come out ice cold with 25 points in the 2nd half, eventually going down 115-86 as the Warriors regained their splash behind Thompson (35 pts) and Curry (29 pts).
Golden State went 16-for-38 from the three-point line and assisted on 26 of their 43 made field goals. Their ball movement resembled the Warriors that we know best. With a strong focus on a better start in Game 7, we can expect more from the Warriors tonight, which is scary for Houston.
The lack of ball movement for the Rockets was glaring, with the Warriors having 26 assists compared to just 13 for the Rockets in Game 6. With no CP3 we saw far too much iso-ball from Houston. CP3 remains a game-time decision tonight, and the betting line of -6,0 for the Warriors suggest that the bookmakers think he’ll sit.
