Welcome Back Brandon Jennings. Tonight’s NBA Betting Predictions – 23/12

NBA betting tips basketball

The Kobe historical/memorial tour rolls into Denver, and the Mavericks 2015-2016 tour of ruining every bet we place rolls into Toronto.

Brandon Jennings makes his long awaited return for the Pistons after 11 months on the sidelines with an achilles.

The lines are the best picks today, as there could more than likely be a few tosses of the coin.

No such thing as a sure H2H winner on days like this….right?

But…should still be a “great night”

Only the 4 games, let’s take a look shall we…

This post is a little outdated, here are the latest NBA parlay picks.

MULTI BET OF THE DAY!

Memphis -7.5 @1.59.

Pistons +9.5 @1.40.

Dallas +6.0 @1.71.

Denver -7.0 @1.91.

Tonight’s NBA predictions and previews below…

Memphis at Philadelphia

24 Memphis 95.9 100.2 -4.3
30 Philadelphia 91.2 104.4 -13.2

The Say

When you’re record is 1-28, you don’t give us much reason to pick you. This season has turned into another level of …bad … for the 76ers. Not even just bad, as an NBA lover it’s hard to watch a team struggle to this extent. It’s hard to imagine the mood in the locker room on a nightly basis.

Everybody has their own frustrations, but you stay positive and do your best to keep working through it,” said 76ers forward Nerlens Noel  (10.0 ppg, 7.9 rpg).

“We get overwhelmed,” he said. “There’s a physical side right now we are lacking.” said 76ers coach Brett Brown.

It’s seasons like this that can define a young player’s development. Instead of learning how to win, and how to play team basketball, it can become a locker room of “getting mine”.

The Grizzlies will win tonight, but I’d almost be happy to lose the bet to see a 76ers win at home, because they are even less likely to win on their upcoming road trip.

Best Bet: Memphis -7.5 @1.59.

Detroit at Miami

Points +/- Rank

RK TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
11 Detroit 101.8 100 +1.8
10 Miami 96.8 94.9 +1.9

The Say

The Pistons are 7-3 over the last 10, while the Heat are 6-4. With an extra 2 days rest, the Pistons are fresher, but the Heat are at home with a 12-5 home record. With Brandon Jennings set to return after 11 months from an achilles tear, the Pistons should be ready to roll.

Jennings suited up for the Pistons D-League affiliate Grand Rapids, scoring 11 points to go with 12 assists.

“I think we’re still going to take our time,” Jennings said. “I think more on the defensive end, I’m still having trouble right now pushing off, trying to get through screens, which is still expected. So my lateral movement is something I have to work on.”

The line here is pretty slim, if we push it out a little bit to a generous +9.5 @1.40, I’m confident the Pistons can cover it.

Best Bet: Pistons +9.5 @1.40.

Dallas at Toronto

Points +/- Rank

RK TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
16 Dallas 100.7 100.4 +0.3
8 Toronto 99.6 96.5 +3.1

The Say

We will exit stage right for this one…

Dallas, oh how you’ve managed to ruin our daily bets over and over again. We are loath to select you, but again we may just be tempted, for the line at least…

The Raptors have struggling to start well, and went through a stretch of trailing after the 1st quarter in 12/17 games.

“It’s terrible,” said Raptors coach Dwane Casey “I mean it’s totally unacceptable the way we performed (Sunday). Shame on us. The way you come into the game with that disposition of `OK, we’re at home, we’re OK.’ It’s not OK. How many times do we have to do that before it smacks us upside the head and wakes us up?”

With an extra 2 days off, we’ll pick a line for the Mavs to cover, but beyond that we have little conviction in a Mav’s W.

Best Bet: Dallas +6.0 @1.71.

LA Lakers at Denver

Points +/- Rank

RK TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
29 LA Lakers 96.6 107.2 -10.6
25 Denver 98.7 103.4 -4.7

The Say

It’s fair to say that if you have that laundry to do, now is the time to do it, because this is going to be some average basketball as the Lakers (4-23) take on the Nuggets (11-16).

Last time out the Lakers lost by 40 to the Thunder, but we didn’t count this as a loss on the retirement tour, as Kobe didn’t suit up. Is this season really anything other than a parade for Kobe, and a quest for the Lakers to be the 2016-2017 NBA Draft Champions?

Kobe’s shot has been a lot better though, hitting around 50% over the last 6, after being 29.6% over his first 17 games.

“My legs felt lively and they felt springy,” Bryant said. “I don’t know where it came from, but it was there. I can’t really explain it. I feel like I can maintain this, but it’s always a give-and-take with Father Time. Sometimes he lets me lead the way, and sometimes he leads the way, so you just kind of roll with it. It’s a good idea not to mock Father Time. So I’ll just say that as long as he lets me lead the way, I’m cool with that.”

Denver has been horrible at guarding the 3-point line (ranked 28th), but that’s okay, because the Lakers can’t shoot the 3 anyway (ranked 27th), so with that, goes the line, and we tip the Nuggets, and our laundry should be clean also.

Best Bet: Denver -7.0 @1.91.
