Tonight’s NBA Betting Picks

Atlanta @ Cleveland

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Atlanta 107.3 96.8 +10.5
Cleveland 112.3 103.5 +8.8

The Say

No LeBron team has won their first six games of a season until now. Kyrie and Love are well involved in the offense and the Cavs are scoring at will. Atlanta haven’t had much luck against the reigning champs, with their last win coming in March 2015, with Cleveland winning the following 11 games since. The Hawks have good bench depth but will find it hard stopping the King.

Punter’s Note: Cleveland are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games.

Best Bet: Cleveland WIN @1.23

Feeling Lucky: Cleveland 1-10 @2.55

Minnesota @ Brooklyn

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Minnesota 101.6 100.4 +1.2
Brooklyn 103.3 107.3 -4.0

The Say

Both teams are missing their starting point guards which has affected them greatly. This is especially true for the Wolves who are nowhere near the post season team everyone expects. Playing away in Brooklyn is a danger game and it will be telling if they drop to 1-5 while other teams in the Nuggets and Lakers are leap frogging them.

Punter’s Note: Brooklyn are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall

Best Bet: Minnesota WIN @1.53

Feeling Lucky: Minnesota -4.5 @1.94

Denver @ Memphis

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Denver 105.5 105.2 +0.3
Memphis 95.6 101.4 -5.8

The Say

The Grizzlies welcome to the team offseason signing Chandler Parsons to face the red hot Nuggets who are coming off their best win for some time away to Boston. Denver however have some injury concerns for themselves which opens the door for a Memphis win at home.

Punter’s Note: Denver are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.

Best Bet: Memphis WIN @1.73

Feeling Lucky: Memphis 1-10 @2.50

Phoenix @ Portland

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Phoenix 105.7 113.3 -7.6
Portland 108.3 109.3 -1.0

The Say

The Blazers will be looking for revenge back on the home court against the Suns after to losing to them in OT less than a week ago. For Phoenix, Devin Booker is coming off back to back 38+ point games although they are proving to have the worst defense in the league letting in 113.3 ppg. Portland at home looks good, but still not confident this early in the year with the Blazers not showing the form that had them 4th in the West postseason.

Punter’s Note: Points Over is 6-0 in Trail Blazers last 6 home games

Best Bet: Portland WIN @1.29

Feeling Lucky: Over 218.5 @1.86

Dallas @ LA Lakers

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Dallas 95.5 101.0 -5.5
LA Lakers 110.3 108.4 +1.9

The Say

It’s a new breed of Lakers these days, and so far they’ve impressed. Newcomers Russell, Randle and Clarkson are up and about, while often maligned (by us) Nick Young is sneaking his way towards a Most Improved Player trophy.

Sitting above .500 for the first time a long time and full of confidence, we expect the Lakers to get over the struggling Mavs offense at Staples. Dirk and Deron are likely to sit again for Dallas.

Punter’s Note: Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Western Conference

Best Bet: LA Lakers WIN @1.47

Feeling Lucky: LA Lakers -4.5 @1.91

New Orleans @ Sacramento

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
New Orleans 101.1 108.7 -7.6
Sacramento 98.1 102.9 -4.8

The Say

The Kings are travelling a little better than the Pelicans, who suffered their 7th straight loss during Steph Curry’s record breaking night. Having been down close to 20 against the Warriors, I left the room to make a coffee, and came back to a 2 point lead to the Pelicans. I’m not sure what the hell happened during that time, but it ended predictably.

The Kings have a day’s break and at home will be too good for a tired Pelicans team. The overs for total points has put food on the table for us many times with the Kings, tonight is no different.

Punter’s Note: Points over is 8-2 in Pelicans last 10 overall

Best Bet: Sacramento WIN @1.39

Feeling Lucky: Total Points Over 204.0 @1.91
