Having such a big win against the Clips, then to be equally disappointing in Utah, doesn’t help either us nor them. Dallas will be a bit too slow for the Cavs.

Washington are 2.5 games behind Chicago to make the 8^th spot, so the loser to this game will have big consequences. The Bulls were able to get the job done in Toronto without Gasol and Rose but needed Doug McNuggets to have the game of his life. Butler is back but Beal is doubtful.

A win tonight in Atlanta could put the Motor City into 3^rd position in the East, depending on other results. Detroit are coming off a 43 point loss in Washington in a day of upsets and blowouts. At home the game should be a lot closer but too hard to see a clear winner.

Minnesota travels to Memphis in what should be the ‘don’t bother’ game of the night. Minnesota has lost 3 of their last 4 on this road trip, Gasol, Randolph and Conley are all be out with injury, which should leave the young TWolves with everything they need to snag one on the road. We’ll give the Wolves the nod.

I bet not many people including their coach could name the Memphis starting line up at the moment. When 3 star players are missing, the Wolves have to capitalise or there should be a league investigation into tanking.

With a modest 18-14 home record, the Rockets aren’t a team to fear on the home court. Houston are 4 wins from their last 5, and the addition of new import Michael Beasley, yeah that’s right, has added some much needed ‘spark’ to the roster.

The pundits are throwing the towel in for LA tonight, but we are going the other way, picking a conservative margin for the Clips.
