D-Wade has found himself playing off the bench for the first time in his career after find it hard to slot into a starting role among the Cavs other established scorers. His first career reserve start comes against his old team tonight. JR Smith will replace Wade in the staring lineup.

The bottomed-out and rebuilding Bulls (0-2) are just looking for warm bodies, with as many as five rotation players out because of injury or suspension.

Cleveland to win comfortably, with lack of scoring and turnovers galore from the Bulls.

Best bet the Overs.

Brooklyn @ Orlando

The Trends –

The Nets took this one in Brooklyn 126-121 a couple days back in a game that shocked a few punters, with Vucevic ( 27.7 ppg and 10.7 rbs) scoring a career high 42 on the way to a loss.

Aaron Gordon should return after sitting two with an ankle injury, and at home we’ll take the Magic to protect home court in a game where the Overs look tempting.

Injuries have been the theme for the Celts so far, with newly acquired Marcus Morris out with a knee injury targeted at Oct. 30 for his Celtics debut.  Marcus Smart has been sitting with an ankle, and then there’s Gordon Hayward, and we all know that story…

While the Celtics are relying on a 12-man roster to get the job done, the Knicks are basically relying on one, Kristaps Porzingis, and not in a good way. One man won’t be enough in Boston tonight, with the Celtics to get the job done comfortably.

Indiana @ Minnesota

The Trends –

  • Over is 14-5-1 in the last 20 meetings.

Minnesota has five players averaging double-figure scoring through three games, including newcomer Jimmy Butler, and after Wiggins’ 32 ft buzzer beater against the OKC, the young T-Wolves’ swagger is off the charts.

The T-Wolves will win this one, but that line’s a little high for us. Prefer the Unders.

New Orleans @ Portland

The Trends –

  • Under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings in Portland.
  • New Orleans are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Portland.
  • Under is 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings.

Portland have won an NBA-record 16 consecutive home openers, dating to a 96-86 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers way back in 2000.

The Pelicans signed NBA vet Jameer Nelson on Saturday to a 1-year free agent deal, and he produced in his first outing in the Pelicans’ 119-112 victory over the Lakers with a clutch three late in the 4th.

Damian Lillard is averaging 23.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists over the first three, and although we love the Pelicans the trend and form for the Blazers is too strong.

Portland cover the -4.5, but not in a blowout.

Utah @ LA Clippers

The Trends –

  • Utah are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings at LA Clippers.
  • Under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings at LA Clippers.
  • Utah are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

Two of the elite defenses meet tonight at Staples with the Clippers allowing 90 points per game (#1 OPP PPG defense) while Utah is 4th conceding just 94.3 points.

With chants of “MVP” already coming for Blake Griffin the LA crowd may be getting a little ahead of  themselves, but with a points differential of +29.0, who could blame them.

Clippers to win and cover in a game where the Unders is the best bet.
