Tonight’s 6 NBA Previews

Detroit @ Charlotte

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Detroit 97.5 97.1 +0.4
Charlotte 105.7 102.3 +3.4

The Say

Charlotte may be coming off a B2B but heading home looks good for them when their opponent in the Pistons are 1-8 on the road. That’s enough for us to go with the Hornets at home as well as the form of Kemba Walker this season.

Best Bet: Charlotte WIN @1.62

Feeling Lucky: Under 197.5 @1.91

LA Clippers @ Brooklyn

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
LA Clippers 107.8 97.4 +10.4
Brooklyn 104.9 114.0 -9.1

The Say

The Clippers were rated the best team in the league for the first month of the season prior to the Thanksgiving Weekend but losses to Detroit and especially to an Indiana team missing Paul George has brought them right back to third in the West which they have occupied for some time. Have to bounce back but like the Unders for this one.

Best Bet: Under 223.5 @1.48

Feeling Lucky: Under 217.0 @1.91

Cleveland @ Milwaukee

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Cleveland 112.0 102.8 +9.2
Milwaukee 101.7 102.3 -0.6

The Say

The Cavs started slow against the 76ers last out but rallied to get the win in the second half. They can’t afford to start the same against the Bucks on the road as they have the young unpredictable talent that can push the Cavs. JR Smith was 0-11 from the field while Kyrie is rivalling Steph for leagues best PG after a 39 point outing.

Best Bet: Cleveland WIN @1.33

Feeling Lucky: Over 212.0 @1.91

LA Lakers @ New Orleans

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
LA Lakers 108.2 110.9 -2.7
New Orleans 102.7 105.9 -3.2

The Say

The Pelicans have won 6 of their last 10, including impressive wins over some above .500 teams. The Lakers look to be missing D’Angelo Russell with a knee, and it could be the straw that breaks the Lakers back tonight. The Lakers will be sub .500 by night’s end, losing to a Pelicans team that is starting to become confident and healthy.

Total points overs is 40-13 in Pelicans last 53 home games, so watch the overs, there could be some All-Star game defense tonight.

Best Bet: New Orleans WIN @1.49

Feeling Lucky: Total Points Over 217.0 @1.91

Orlando @ San Antonio

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Orlando 92.1 98.9 -6.8
San Antonio 104.4 98.6 +5.8

The Say

The Spurs weak link this year has been the AT&T Center, where they have accrued their 3 only losses of the season. The Magic are struggling on the road with a 2-5 record, and we are more than confident that the Spurs will get the job done here.

Not at all confident in the -13.5 line however, with the Spurs only reaching double digit victories once over their last 10, and the Magic losing multiple close games.

Best Bet: Nope.

Feeling Lucky: Spurs 1-10 @3.04

Houston @ Utah

Points +/- Rank

TEAM OWN OPP DIFF
Houston 109.8 105.5 +4.3
Utah 97.5 93.4 +4.1

The Say

The Rockets have 3 of the top 5 3-point scorers in the league in equal #1 Harden (3.1pg, 53 total), #1 Trevor Ariza (3.1pg, 52 total) and #4 Eric Gordon (3.0pg, 51 total), #1 being Stephen Curry with 75 total at 4.2pg.

Houston will need that fire from the arc to bypass the #1 defense in the league of the Jazz, letting through just 93.4 ppg this year.

The Rockets have the 3rd highest points average behind the Cavs and Warriors, and with an impressive road record of 7-4, they should have enough firepower to get over the Jazz in a close one.

Let it rain boys.

Best Bet: Houston WIN @1.80

Feeling Lucky: Houston 1-10 @2.60
